Post Release theories

Bryce is the product of an affair
Michael Bryce Sr. was married to Bryce's mom and knew something was up when her baby was white, but either forgave her or pretended not to notice and still named Bryce after himself.

Bryce Sr was an abusive father to Bryce
He knows how to make Bryce tick, knows the hand trick to disarm him and is generally a huge prick to him. He was a cross between a Standard '50s Father and a Sink or Swim Mentor. Though he grew more benevolent and less violent with age, he still takes jabs at him.

Magnusson survived
Albeit with a couple new scars on his face, he could have come to and escaped the boat before it blew up. He is a pro, after all, and Bryce does specify that he was lucky that they reached a song he liked, so he may have been knocked out or playing dead after being smashed into the jukebox.

Sonia, directly or indirectly, caused her mother's death

Sequel theories

If there is is a sequel to this filmnote , it will be called The Hitman's Son's Bodyguard
It will be about Bryce having to protect Darius' child, who can kick just as much as he can.
  • Unless he's protecting a literal infant, there's not much chance unless Bryce and company are significantly older.

The next film's main villain will be a woman

Future villains:
  • An extremist CIA agent attempting to destroy Russia/China/North Korea.
  • A dictator waging war on another country.
  • An Elon Musk expy.
