WMG / Star Wars Jedi: Survivor

    Pre-release
The one-armed Bacta Tank occupant is a Rogue Jedi from the High Republic era
  • The reveal trailer shows him wearing the distinct temple robes from that time, and given his confusion upon waking up—plus the state of the location he was found in—the tank could have conceivably preserved him for centuries within a crashed starship.
  • All but confirmed in the Story Trailer, where the Jedi is seen out of his tank talking to Cal, with a High Republic era insignia clearly visible on his robes.
  • Confirmed
Potential returning characters:
  • Saw Gerrera and the Partisans
    • Saw and his Partisans could reappear as allies in the game. Perhaps Cal needs to get in contact with someone who works as part of a rebel cell or insurgency, and he tracks down Saw looking for help to make contact with said person.
      • Saw himself is Jossed.
  • Lor San Tekka
    • Lor San Tekka (Max von Sydow's character from the Force Awakens for those unaware) was part of a resistance movement called "The Church of the Force." As the Empire tried to destroy artifacts and records of the Jedi's history, the Church would work to rescue and preserve them on behalf of the Jedi. As a young man, Tekka was a part of this group. Following Return of the Jedi, he became friends with Luke, occasionally helping him look for other such artifacts and records. He could appear in the sequel as a young man and aid Cal in his quest.
      • Jossed
  • The Hidden Path
    • The Hidden Path as introduced in Obi-Wan Kenobi helped rescue Force-sensitive children from the Empire. The show even revealed that some surviving Jedi such as Quinlan Vos helped with rescuing the children. It's possible that's where Cere ended up going, as seen briefly in the trailer. Perhaps she recruits Cal to help with saving the children?
      • Confirmed, Cere is revealed to be working for them she and Vader discuss the events of Obi-Wan Kenobi/
The Fates of the other Mantis crew
Something happens early on that separates the Mantis crew. The only returning character we see in the trailer (besides Cal and BD-1) is Cere, and she talks like she hasn't seen Cal in some time. What happened to split them up, and where did the rest of the crew go? Are Greez and Merrin missing, captured by the Empire, or worse?
  • Partially Jossed, the Official Story Trailer shows Cal reuniting with Greez and Merrin to continue his adventures.
Bode is lying about the origins of Cal's blaster
  • Given what we know about Cal's Psychometry from Fallen Order Cal would have picked up on Bode's true intentions and origins straight up because of the force echoes in the blaster if Bode really kept it for as long as he said he had. As such, the Blaster is either:
    • Brand new, straight off of the factory, so absolutely no chance of any force echoes.
    • Picked up from a relatively new or novice bounty hunter Bode had killed.

    Post-release
If there is a possibility of a third game, it would probably center around Cal struggling with the Dark Side and taking Kata in as his new Padawan
  • Judging by the shot of Cal igniting Dagan's red lightsaber, it likely symbolizes Cal's new struggle against the Dark Side. It would be likely that he has to find new enlightenment in himself and his new Padawan, Kata Akuna, the daughter of the man who betrayed Cal and whom the latter had to kill because he wouldn't see reason. Likely both Cal and Kata have to come to terms with their pain and seek self-redemption by working together to keep the Jedi legacy alive.
  • This would also be a case of History Repeats, as in Fallen Order, Cere was struggling with the Dark Side, but found a new enlightenment in Cal, whom she took in as her new Padawan and trained into a great Jedi Knight. This time, it's Cal's turn to struggle with the Dark Side, and now he and Kata must both come to terms with their inner darkness and make themselves stronger and let go of their fear of losing loved ones.
  • It could also be another five year Time Skip, focusing on Cal following Cere's footsteps and persevering his own Jedi Order and traveling the galaxy to help those in need, whether fighting the Empire and/or recruiting Force-sensitive refugees to Tanalorr. Also, a teenage Padawan Kata Akuna partakes in her Jedi Master's footsteps while coming into terms with her newfound lifestyle and her father's betrayal.
  • And there is always a chance that Cal learning to somewhat control the Dark Side in short bursts, similar to Mace Windu, means we finally have a non-Legends inroad for the creation of a Grey Order, capable of wielding Light and Dark but beholden to neither.
It will be revealed in the third game that Bode's wife was killed by the Second Sister.
  • In Survivor's post game, We find out via Force echos that Bode's wife was murdered by an inquisitor who was hunting for him. While the game never specifies which inquisitor it was; The Second Sister may be the likely culprit because A-Respawn would likely want as much creative control as possible and B-It would be a great excuse to bring Trilla back even if it's just in flashback or Force echo form.
Kata will replace Cal as the Third Game’s Player Character and Protagonist
A central theme of Respawn’s Jedi Games is Cal’s development into a Jedi outside the norm between the Original and Sequal Film Trilogies.
  • The first game started with Cal as a tragically Masterless Padawan only by the course of the game with Cere’s help eventually be proven ready to be a Knight by the end.
  • The Second instead focused on him as a Knight and facing risks prior Knights like Anakin fell to with falling to the Darkside but pulling through while losing Cere and Cordova (Former also having struggled with the Darkside).
As Cal isn’t aware Obi-Wan and Yoda are still alive and the notion of the need to at least train a new generation alongside promising Bode to look after Kata it is very likely training Kata will fill the circle for Cal to become Master worthy in the Third Game. Doesn’t hurt Postgame talks has Kata requesting to learn how to fight.
