Bubba is Duke Reeves's child.
- Bubba starts out troubled due to his unstable upbringing, but pretty quickly matures into The Ace. While he can be irresponsible, he's still a charming, intelligent, socially competent lady's man, which certainly doesn't seem to have been inherited from either Eunice or Ed. It seems much more in line with the teenage Duke Reeves seen in "Sins of the Mother". Though Duke didn't seem interested in Eunice, it's possible she managed to convince him to sleep with her at least once (maybe he even viewed it as Pity Sex), resulting in Bubba.
Mr. Finstadler pushed Thelma into losing her temper.
- Mr. Finstadler is involved with the “Ray of Hope Home for Wayward Girls” and he wanted the full amount of Fran’s estate to go to the organization. He’s the one who pointed out Thelma’s dress was ruined when everyone else was trying to keep her from noticing. Seeing that she was clearly upset, he antagonized then taunted her just before she would have completed the conditions in Fran’s Will.
