  • Aerosteon
  • Ceratosuchops, Suchosaurus, or Ripariovenator (to represent actual Baryonyx)
  • Daspletosaurus
  • Mapusaurus (possibly to either represent the game’s existing Giganotosaurus after that one is presumably updated for Jurassic World: Dominion, or represent that design should or not be updated and it kept separate)
    • Possibly jossed, at least for the giga being redone or repurposed for it, given the cosmetic genes added in the Dominion Biosyn pack.
  • Meraxes (For similar reasons to the above mentioned Mapusaurus, a more recent discovery and a reference to A Song of Ice and Fire)
  • Megaraptor (like the actual thing instead of the oversized dromaeosaur from Warpath)
  • Rugops (completing the ostensible genome of Indominus rex as animals that can be released into your park)
  • Oxalaia or Sigilmassasaurus (with heavy Artistic License to represent the real Spinosaurus)

    • Confirmed! Included in the Cretaceous Predator Pack.
  • Torvosaurus
  • Yangchuanosaurus (one of the still-missing cut dinosaurs from Operation Genesis)
  • Yutyrannus (it would be the first to have outright feathers)
    • Confirmed! Included in the Feathered Species pack. However, it's not the first feathered species in the game.

    • Confirmed! Included in the Cretaceous Predator Pack.
  • Dakotaraptor
  • Dracovenator (a way to represent the real Dilophosaurus while staying true to canon)
  • Gojirasaurus (entirely for biting-the-hand Godzilla references; bonus points if the sounds it makes are modified from Godzilla's, such as pitched-up for its smaller size)
  • Guanlong

    • Confirmed! Included in the Secret Species pack.
  • Stegoceratops (Triceratops + Stegosaurus; returning from “Secrets of Dr. Wu”)
    • Additionally, its horns will be adjusted to resemble Nasutoceratops, which was how its brief cameo appearance in Jurassic World was designed. However, it's still depicted with Triceratops skull like in the previous game.
    • Confirmed! Included in the Secret Species pack. Jossed as far as gaining a resemblance to Nasutoceratops goes, though.
  • Various Chaos Effect animals, adjusted for legal reasons and based on animals already in the game.
  • Original marine and flying hybrids to take advantage of the new niche they have in the game. One example off-hand would be a "Pteranomorphodon", combining the head of Pteranodon (teeth optional) with a long Dimorphodon-like tail as an irresistible reference to the stereotypical Mix-and-Match Critters that the general public associates with the word "pterodactyl".
    • These could also be used to incorporate deliberately-retro dinosaurs and "dinosaurs" based on extremely outdated paleontology, such as the Crystal Palace dinosaurs.
  • Secondary WMG: like the Indominus, the hybrids will be revised to have more genetic requirements before you can unlock them, such as the Stegoceratops possibly needing additional ceratopsian components.
Future DLC Pack Themes
  • A Jurassic World: Dominion pack: probably a given, with precedent from the previous game with the Fallen Kingdom species added. This would also be a good opportunity to add "authentic" cosmetic genes for several dinosaurs already in the game to make them look more like their prehistoric selves from the prologue (namely the Tyrannosaurus and Giganotosaurus).
    • This was eventually confirmed: instead of a single release, the DLC was split in two with separate releases in 2022: first a Biosyn pack which added Dimetrodon, Pyroraptor, Quetzalcoatlus, and Therizinosaurus as well as cosmetics for several other animals featured in it, including a feathered Tyrannosaurus and film-accurate Dreadnoughtus and Giganotosaurus, and two new maps as Sierra Nevada (where Owen, Claire, and Maisie live) and Biosyn Sanctuary; then a Malta pack which added Atrociraptor, Lystrosaurus, Moros intrepidus, and Oviraptor, more cosmetics, and three new maps.
  • A "nostalgia pack" primarily used to port maps from the previous game for challenge and sandbox mode, which may or may not have them scaled-up in some way.
    • This could also be used to bring back some content from Operation Genesis that still hasn't been reincorporated yet, such as a balloon tour ride and viewing domes, procedurally-generated maps, and maybe some of the missing cut species from that game (Alioramus, Ornithomimus, Panoplosaurus, Tenontosaurus, Thescelosaurus, Wuerhosaurus and Yangchuanosaurus) for the requisite dinosaur additions; bonus points if whichever ones are deliberately designed as retro-dinosaurs evocative of pre-Dinosaur Renaissance paleoart to make them stand out more (such as the outdated tripod stance given to bipedal dinosaurs). Another feature could be new skins for at least some of the dinosaurs that returned from Operation Genesis to resemble their counterparts from that game in the event that they can't be replicated with the cosmetic gene features already in the game.
      • Wuerhosaurus, at least, has been confirmed.
      • Procedurally-generated maps haven't been added, but sandbox-only maps of huge squares in each biome have been added alongside the Feathered Species pack, creating a rough parallel to the JPOG maps.
      • The Viewing Dome was added; Hatcheries were recently given an automated option to keep animals at a set level a la Operation Genesis' Site B.
  • A hybrid pack to bring back at least some of the "Secrets of Dr. Wu" content
    • Confirmed—the Secret Species pack brings back all of the missing Secrets of Dr. Wu hybrids, as well as adding the "Spinoceratops" from Camp Cretaceous and giving bioluminescent skin options for all four of them as well as the Indominus and Indoraptor.
  • Another Herbivore Pack, adding the same number of additional herbivorous dinosaurs
  • Another Carnivore Pack, adding the same number of additional carnivorous dinosaurs
    • Confirmed with the Cretaceous Predator Pack, which brings Concavenator, Utahraptor, Gigantoraptor and Tarbosaurus into the game.
  • A "non-dinosaur pack," adding several additional flying and swimming reptiles, and maybe some non-dinosaur land animals as well
    • This is probably moot, since most of the DLC packs so far have added at least one new non-dinosaur animal and the pattern will probably continue in the future. Dimetrodon and Lystrosaurus have been added as far as non-dinosaur land animals go, at least.
    • Confirmed, in the end: the Marine Species Pack marks the first time a DLC release has added no dinosaurs to the game, instead having three non-dinosaur (and non-archosaur) reptiles and the first-ever proper fish species.
  • A Triassic Pack, adding the same number of dinosaurs as the Cretaceous Pack but, of course, themed around the Triassic period to complement Herrerasaurus and Coelophysis; this would also be a good place to insert a non-dinosaur land animal like Postosuchus or Placerias.
    • For that matter, another Cretaceous Pack and maybe a Jurassic Pack as well. Getting a bit more out-there, a Paleozoic Pack which adds pre-dinosaur animals such as Dimetrodon and, for your marine exhibits, Dunkleosteus
      • Secondary WMG on a Triassic Pack: it will exclude a flying animal, since there weren't many at that time that would be especially distinct from what's already in the game, and instead include an extra marine animal.
      • The Cretaceous Pack idea is essentially confirmed; the first post-release DLC is about the Early Cretaceous and adds Dsungaripterus, Kronosaurus, Minmi, and Wuerhosaurus to the game. A Late Cretaceous pack was released in late 2022 and added Alamosaurus, Australovenator, Barbaridactylus, and Styxosaurus.
      • As for a Paleozoic Pack, Dimetrodon at least has been confirmed via the Dominion Biosyn pack, Lystrosaurus in the Dominion Malta pack, and Dunkleosteus in the Marine Species pack. It remains to be seen if any others will be added in the future.
    • Given the Smilodon in the season 4 trailer of Camp Cretaceous, a Cenozoic Pack also doesn't seem quite so out there anymore. Especially when you consider the wider variety of biomes in this game, the new Taiga biome, in particular, would be very suitable for Pleistocene animals. In addition to the obvious land species (Smilodon, woolly mammoth, ground sloths, terror birds), Megalodon and Livyatan could be added as new Lagoon attractions (both likely stylized to a certain extent). Heck, they might even throw in an Argentavis and/or Pelagornis for the Aviary.
      • Secondary WMG to this: there will be more Cenozoic animals added sooner than with most other DLC packs thus far because they'll be modified models ported from Planet Zoo, since many of the most iconic Cenozoic and especially Pleistocene animals are very similar to ones around today, if bigger and hairier than them. (Compare mammoths to elephants, cave bears to grizzlies, or dire wolves to jackals, for example.)
  • An "Adventure Pack" designed as an homage to the Jurassic Park and Jurassic World rides at the various Universal Parks, and a reference to a line by Hammond in the film ("Ay yi yi, why didn't I build in Orlando?"). Not only would this be an excellent pretense to add a wetlands biome, but (see below) it would also add animals from the rides which are missing from the species roster—namely Ultrasaurus, Psittacosaurus, and one other—but also to finally add a boat tour ride based on both the novel and the real ride based on it. It could also include a new type of guest attraction as a semi-customizable roller coaster modeled on the Bone Shaker ride from Jurassic Park: The Game, the Egg Spinner on Jurassic World's map, and the other real and forthcoming Jurassic Park/World rides.
    • A Chaos Theory mode would be going with the backstory of Islands of Adventure's JP section bring a new park built off Florida's coast.
    • The third dinosaur in the pack could be the long-missing Microceratus, alluding to their appearance along the river in the novel.
  • A Novel Pack, adding the remaining missing dinosaurs from the original Jurassic Park novels—Hadrosaurus, Hypsilophodon, Nanosaurus, (called Othnielia in the book) Microceratus, Mussaurus, and possibly Procompsognathus, Meganeura, (probably as an aviary equivalent to the compy) and Ornitholestes—as well as at least one new ride attraction (probably a boat tour, which featured in the book and was adapted into the Universal Studios ride) and new cosmetics for the already-present dinosaurs which lack ones corresponding to the novel (yellow with black spots and red crests for Dilophosaurus, blood red Tyrannosaurus, and beige with red stripes for Velociraptor among others, and Indominus-like environmental camouflage for Carnotaurus and possibly Velociraptor (a single raptor in the first book demonstrates color-changing abilities).
  • An "authenticity pack" that adds body variants to various species—hopefully as many as possible based on current paleontology—which make them more accurate, especially adding feathers after the very positive reception of the Feathered Species pack. Beyond just feathers, it would also compensate for many other liberties such as those taken with the baryonyx and mamenchisaurus and otherwise fixing the sauropods' feet.
    • Alternatively, a "nature pack" which not only "fixes" at least the most egregious inaccuracies for those who want more realistic dinosaurs but also adds new decorations and feeder types to create more naturalistic exhibits such as cosmetic nests (like the rex nest from The Lost World and the raptor nests from Jurassic Park ///, but ideally there would be more—Chaos Island could be referenced) and meat feeders resembling carcasses and skeletons of various sizes and live feeders with a greater variety of wild animals, and perhaps dirt trails as a new type of pathway.
  • A "Small Herbivore Pack" will be where Microceratus is FINALLY added to the game.
Features and tools to be added with updates
  • A "biome brush," allowing you to make more diverse environments in different biomes, such as a tropical exhibit on a desert map.
    • Alternatively, "true" enclosures rather than paddocks are used for this, reasoning that they're enclosed enough to defy the map's biome. (For another option, it could just be that the aviaries can have their biomes "reset" for this purpose.) This could be coupled with a "biome preference" for each animal.
      • Confirmed with the update accompanying the "Feathered Species pack". For PC and new-gen consoles, all of the biome-specific foliage are now available in all biomes.
  • Extra Chaos Theory scenarios, possibly with one to each actual DLC pack even if they reuse some of the existing maps.
    • One could be a whole new park not directly based on any of the actual films, as "Jurassic Park Europe," which briefly appeared in the background in the first film as a satellite park to be built after the one on Isla Nublar opened.
    • One could use the events of "Camp Cretaceous" with both Broad Strokes and/or Alternate Continuity (e.g. freeing the dinosaurs after the evacuation, fixing the Mosasaurus feeder, saving the dinosaurs from Mitch and Tiff, using Blue or other dinosaurs to defeat the two Scorpius Rex, trying to build different ways to escape the island).
    • One could use MantahCorp island.
    • Confirmed as of the Dominion Biosyn pack, which adds new scenarios to both Chaos Theory and the campaign.
    • Another possibility could be a Novel Canon map which supposes that someone (possibly an intentional blank slate company for the player to project onto) went back to Isla Nublar after the original park was destroyed, note  with the new challenge to the map being that you have to clean up from the bombing in order to make the park habitable again. Bonus points if it features versions of the characters from the novels, including Grant, Harding, (one or both of them) Malcolm, Muldoon, (who survived in the book) Sattler, and possibly the novel-exclusive characters of Richard Levine and Jack Thorne. Ideally, this would come with the few still-missing novel dinosaurs and some cosmetic features to make them look like their novel counterparts. (The dilophosaurs, tyrannosaurs, and velociraptors are the notable examples of that.)
      • Alternatively, it's set on the novel version of Isla Sorna, which has a relatively unique layout ringed with mountains like the Nublar 2015 map but with a high plateau and cliffs in the northeast area, since Nublar was destroyed. Part of the challenge is to manage a huge population of feral raptors (and possibly some other dinosaurs) which spawn with the map, intentionally omitting the easy option of selling them so that you have to put them in a suitable enclosure or else let them kill each other off (which was insinuated to be the ultimate fate of Sorna in the novel as it was going through a huge ecological imbalance).
  • Semi-aquatic/amphibious animals, ones which can be released on land or in an aquarium tank and which can transition between them via a special entrance—think Baryonyx swimming around in the marine exhibit and then coming back up onto the land to rest.
    • Halfway confirmed as of the Marine Species Pack: both the Archelon and Nothosaurus have the additional requirement of needing a special rock platform that they can climb up onto out of the water with unique social animations applied to them for when one is on the rock and another approaches them from behind.
  • Deep water, allowing you to create moats to try to contain your dinosaurs instead of fences as well as letting your marine animals roam about outside the lagoon tanks. This would also include a "sea wall" feature, similar to what apparently kept the mosasaur away from guest beaches in Jurassic World, to make more modular water exhibits.
  • Procedurally-generated maps as a throwback to Operation Genesis, providing rough squares of an area in each biome with a shared horizon to each one.
  • Dynamic interactions between marine and non-marine species, such as (referencing two infamous scenes from Jurassic World) giving some of them the ability to snatch flying reptiles out of the air or lunge out of the water at dinosaurs that stray too close to the edge of their Lagoon.
  • A mini-sub tour ride for Lagoons, which would go well with the above moats/deep water suggestion seeing as an aquatic tour would of course work best with a means of linking separate Lagoon enclosures without the interruption of land terrain.
  • Making the Campaign Mode maps available for Sandbox mode, with the wild areas no longer off-limits for building to give players more room for a proper park.
    • Confirmed. A recent update has added them to sandbox mode, all of them being large-size maps.
  • A free-standing camera with two different uses: placing it in problem areas and connecting it to a response or medical facility will immediately alert idle teams there to deal with any issues automatically, reducing the need for micromanagement; connecting it to a hotel will provide a video feed to guests to improve dinosaur visibility in far-off areas, partly referring to this having been an intended part of the original park in the novel. There would probably be a limit to the number of cameras that can be used and with no overlap between their management and guest uses to keep them from being overpowered.
  • Tunnels to allow guests and maybe even staff vehicles easier access to distant parts of the park, the trade-off being that there's a limited number and they don't improve your transport rating.
  • More body variant options for the dinosaurs that have them—such as the feathered Tyrannosaurus and the Jurassic Park /// raptors—and a randomizer for those to add even more variety in a single batch beyond just aesthetic colors.
New biomes in future DLC packs
The existing biomes are pretty diverse, but it would be nice to see some additional environments that could be built in.
  • Canyon: modeled on the likes of the Grand Canyon, (and made distinct from the Southwest United States map in Challenge Mode) this would be visually similar to the desert biome but given as being a much colder, darker version of it (since the canyon walls would obscure sunlight except at midday) and, instead of sandstorms, it would experience rainstorms which, in turn, lead to flash floods that travel over sections of the map below a certain elevation in one specific direction rather than hitting virtually everywhere at once.
  • Caverns: yeah, space will be limited.
    • Alternatively, cavern structures will be added as a new type of enclosure with dedicated hatcheries and viewing galleries, working as if they were a reskinned version of the aviary. These "cave hatcheries" would be able to release both land and flying animals.
    • Caves are featured in Dominion as a dedicated habitat, making this a bit more likely now.
  • Mediterranean: given as a sandy environment but cooler than the desert, with its environmental hazard probably being hurricanes like on the tropical maps. This would also be a good opportunity to represent Isla Sorna as depicted in The Lost World for the sake of variety rather than giving it the same tropical biome as the Jurassic Park III Chaos Theory map. This could be the biome used to represent "Jurassic Park: Europe" as well since that park was supposed to have been built in the Azores.
    • Confirmed. The Dominion Malta pack adds three new maps in a new biome of exactly this. As predicted, its a sandy environment reminiscent of the desert biome but has hurricanes as its weather hazard instead of sandstorms. Reimplementing Lost World-era Isla Sorna with this biome has yet to be seen, however.
    • Secondary WMG in light of the Malta pack: if Lost World-era Isla Sorna is included, it will have a distinct biome based on the film—possibly simply as "Redwoods"—distinct from the aforementioned mediterranean guess.
  • Polar: beyond just the existing cold biomes, this would be a completely snowy and icy environment based on the likes of Greenland and Antarctica, () meant as the ultimate challenge by housing animals most comfortable in the tropics on a glacier. Instead of only reusing blizzards as a weather hazard, it would be extremely cold at all times and therefore require additional steps to make the dinosaurs comfortable with the occasional blizzards taking that up to eleven. This would also make for a good pretense to add "habitat buildings" to the game.
    • This could include an additional hazard for the marine animals by way of blizzards causing the lagoons to freeze over.
  • Savannah: set about midway between the desert and temperate biomes and probably based on Africa in particular; more specifically, it could be placed near Mombasa, Kenya, as a reference to a famous deleted scene from The Lost World. The main threats here would be the heat, possibly coming with "unremovable" tall grasses which are prone to catching fire.
  • Volcanic: based on Isla Nublar following the events of Fallen Kingdom, possibly as a new Chaos Theory scenario supposing that the eruption of Mt. Sibo finally killed the volcano for good and it's safe to rebuild a park there. To make it a bit more unique, the flora provided for it could be modeled on non-tropical volcanic environments such as Iceland, and the weather hazard could be acid rain from the latent volcanic activity; storm defenses would still be in play, but acid rain might damage your buildings regardless. For the sake of homage, it could be done as a reskinned version of Nublar North from the first game.
  • Wetlands: comes with a lot of water by default, which you might need to "repaint" to build your park, with the requisite hazardous weather being hurricanes like in the tropical biome but with the addition of flooding which raises the global water level on the map, even where there isn't already a water source, and obviously with swampier flora like mangroves and cypresses. Bonus points if the map is in Orlando and most directly based on the Everglades.
    • The main challenge of flooding could be that it causes most of the dinosaurs—the smaller ones, at least—to rapidly use up their stamina as they're forced to swim if they can't find higher ground, which could result in them drowning, as well as shorting out electrical fences and allowing the dinosaurs to escape more easily by bringing them closer to the top, even allowing the larger ones to climb over the heavy fences. Because of all that, another feature added here could be elevated paths which not only allow guests to escape the floodwaters but also allow the player to build more immersive exhibits, including the enclosed log-styled visitor portion of the T-Rex Kingdom from Jurassic World.
The pack-hunting behavior will be re-balanced in a future update
That way small theropods can't kill freaking sauropods and spinosaurus. The JP /// Chaos Theory mode will be updated to reflect such.
  • This seems almost like a given, considering the precedent of the extensive updates to hunting that were made for the first game shortly after its release (namely the fixing of carnivores being voracious monsters that would indiscriminately kill everything in sight).
    • Partly confirmed as of the Dominion Biosyn DLC pack—the group needs to be bigger in order to initiate jumping attacks on the sauropods now. Various updates have also adjusted the damage pack-hunters inflict and recalibrated the effect a sauropod's defense stat has versus the attackers' stats.
Cohabitation will also be re-balanced for the future, at least for the herbivores
Particularly, various dinosaurs will be more accepting of those in their taxonomic families which they would (or could) have actually coexisted with—there's little reason for the Apatosaurus and Diplodocus, for example, to be intolerant of each other when they come from the same time and place as far as the game is concerned, while it would be more reasonable for Dreadnoughtus to not want competition from the other sauropods.
  • As an alternative, they're more accepting of those which have different paleobotany requirements—the implication of multispecies exhibits "not being allowed" is because they don't want competition from relatives over the same resources, but why should an herbivore be intolerant of something that doesn't eat the same kinds of plants as it?
  • Confirmed as of the Dominion Biosyn DLC pack. Many herbivores have been adjusted to like another specific species, hadrosaurs and ornithomimosaurs like each other in general, and cohabitation in general has been made more forgiving.
New maps will be added in future DLC packs
These will be used to diversify the types of parks and areas that the player can build in even if the biomes themselves aren't added to over time. These will particularly include:
  • Porting maps from the first Jurassic World Evolution, at least the most stand-out unique-looking ones and possibly altering their biomes a bit; using JWE1's Isla Sorna with a new Mediterranean biome mentioned above comes to mind. This would specifically be done with a "Return to Las Cinco Muertes" pack which re-includes not only the islands but also a few other new features and one new dinosaur for each island, possibly summarized best summarized as a "Fanservice Pack" by including the most-wanted fan-community features that haven't been added yet.
  • The Lockwood Estate, with its centerpiece being Lockwood Manor to give us a totally unique Fallen Kingdom map to work with. (This assumes that Nublar North and/or Sanctuary wouldn't theoretically be ported from the first game.)
  • A novel-accurate map of Isla Sorna, which is relatively unique by being ringed with mountains and featuring a plateau in the northeast part of the map.
  • As a meta-joke, a new tropical map with its layout based on Kualoa Ranch, a major filming location for the franchise.
  • A Lost World-era Isla Sorna map, distinct from the Jurassic Park III map already in the game.
  • A mainland Costa Rican map, partly playing on the novels' concept that dinosaurs had already been escaping the island and were, of course, coming ashore in Costa Rica.
  • A Mantah Corp Island from Camp Cretaceous which includes the biodomes who diversify the gameplay and make it the most interesting and unique map in the whole game.
This has been confirmed in concept, but none of the above-mentioned guesses have been included (yet). The Dominion Biosyn pack adds the Biosyn Sanctuary and Sierra Nevada as maps, and the Malta pack adds three new Mediterranean maps.
A future update will allow the concrete, spike-topped, and invisible fences to be used with any building set
Come on, I can't be the only one who thinks park design is held back a bit too much by not being able to mix and match these fence types!
  • Furthermore, a version of the Aerial Deterrent System from Dominion will also be added, possibly coupled with a new type of hatchery, to allow for "free-roaming" pterosaur exhibits and to have them cohabit with land animals. It would probably work by simply placing it in an enclosure and it fundamentally makes a "full" invisible fence for that whole area. (The Biosyn invisible fences don't contain pterosaurs.)
A future update will diversify the tour rides of each building set
Namely, a "Luxury Tour" will be added to all the non-Jurassic Park building sets as equivalents to the Park Tour, an "Off-Road Tour" to complement the Park Tour, (it feels kind of awkward to have the Park Tour going off into a deep, free-roaming safari paddock) and a "Security Tour" as an equivalent to the Gyrospheres for every building set that the Gyrospheres themselves wouldn't thematically fit with, as a totally-indestructible option to the others. To say nothing of the still-going hope that there could be a boat tour and other possibilities.
Remote Viewing Galleries in future updates
With the T-Rex Kingdom log window from Jurassic World and the viewing domes from Operation Genesis finally being added alongside the Feathered Species pack as proof-of-concept, it's only natural that there will be requests for more of that basic idea being added.
  • Underwater galleries: distinct from the lagoon stands, these would draw on some concept art from Jurassic World as well as on the marine facility from Jurassic Park: The Game, directly paralleling the log and dome galleries.
    • Confirmed! A distinct lagoon gallery in the vein of the viewing domes was added alongside the Marine Species Pack, though its resemblance to the facility from the Telltale game is only superficial. It remains to be seen if there will be any "shark tunnels" for the lagoons in the vein of the log gallery.
  • An aviary-specific gallery, elevated to give a better view of the pterosaurs. The Pterotops Lodge from the original Jurassic Park novel is a great example.
    • The entrance to it could be designed to resemble the building that Grant and company entered the aviary through in Jurassic Park ///.
  • The High Hide, as something of an equivalent to the Biosyn Research Outpost but lacking the ability to raise and lower, with thematic versions for the other build-sets as well.
More feeder types will be added
The addition of cows to live-feeders have been requested for some time, but it would be even better if various other animals were added, too, possibly with variations based on biome, to make for more interesting implied ecosystems—rabbits, wild fowl, monkeys, (based more on the novel) and deer come to mind. This could also include a variation on the goat feeder where it really is tethered like in the first film, a different meat feeder based on the crane used in the Indominus paddock as basically a land version of the shark feeder used for lagoons, and maybe even a "flying live feeder" to include Biosyn's locusts in a way.
Future DLC packs will be themed in order to include at least one missing canon species each
It's probably not a coincidence that the Cretaceous Predator pack includes the Tarbosaurus (and to a lesser extent the Concavenator) as one of the only still-missing Camp Cretaceous dinosaurs up to that point. With only a few others not in the game already (particularly Microceratus, Smilodon, and the "Spinoceratops" hybrid) despite being popular with fans, Frontier will probably include them (if at all before a possible Jurassic World Evolution 3) with a pack including at least one of those missing species each with some other complementary species to add even more to the roster. With the three examples given here, that probably means DLC along the lines of a Small Herbivore pack, a Hybrid pack, and a Mammal or Cenozoic pack.
  • A hybrid pack was, indeed, confirmed and included the Spinoceratops, as well as the missing hybrids from the previous game.
More arena-type buildings will be added, either in forthcoming DLC
Similar to the San Diego arena, (which would ideally be getting some biome variants along with these) the T-Rex Kingdom structure, the Raptor Squad pen, and the Indominus paddock will be added as special attractions that can be attached to larger paddocks that dinosaurs can be encouraged to frequent, as special versions of viewing galleries. There could even be one or two of these for lagoons as a film-accurate version of the mosasaur stands, with more seating than the default lagoon galleries.
A Jurassic World Evolution 3 will eventually be made
In this hypothetical game sequel, the gameplay mechanics will be remade and improved for the next generation of consoles. Definitely obvious is the inclusion of more non-dinosaur prehistoric and extinct animals- pterosaurs, marine creatures, animals extinct in the Holocene, miscellaneous reptiles/amniotes/tetrapods/etc, amphibians, crocodiles (and other archosaurs), synapsids, Cenozoic animals (mammals, birds and reptiles), terrestrial arthropods and hybrids.
