WMG / Evil Dead: The Game

Go To

The game starts after The Bad Guy Wins and the Necronomicon is the only way to reverse it.
The game is about the protagonists reclaiming the scattered pieces of the Necronomicon before the Kandarian Demon finds and destroys them. Why would they want to destroy the Book? The whole franchise is about the Necronomicon unleashing Evil upon the world to "test the Mettle of Man", so why would Evil want to destroy it now? Because after a millenia of havoc, the Necronomicon has succeeded in its mission and Evil has been unleashed in full, kind of the like in the series finale of Ash vs. Evil Dead. The book has no more use for Evil and the only thing left it can do is reverse it, so now all Evil has to do is destroy the book and its victory is assured. That could also explain why the pieces of the book can be harmed by simple brute force now: the supernatural properties that protected it from conventional harm is now out and about, rendering the book vulnerable.
