Tofu Girl is a Mobile Phone Game developed by Usaya and published by Joypac in 2019. You play as a girl who stands on a tofu piece and must jump on other tofu pieces before they hit her from the side to earn points. Perfect timing grants coins and increases your combo, with it going up to +5 points. There are plenty of outfits and areas to unlock, as well as gravity mode that almost requires perfection, and two sets of challenge levels.
This game provides examples of:
- Ad Reward: Tofu-Ya's shop has an option to watch an ad and earn most coins required for the next costume. You can also watch an ad when you get hit to restore once per game. If you bought anything for real money, you can just claim the coins or revive. Watching enough of them or buying anything for real money also unlocks costumes.
- And Your Reward Is Clothes: You unlock a new set of clothes every time you fulfill a certain objective, like playing for 30 days or reaching a high score.
- Difficulty by Acceleration: Going up means that the tofu is served faster as well, forcing jumps more often. Sometimes it'll go slower though, so react accordingly.
- Gyaru Girl: The Gal costume gives the girl browner skin and pointier hair.
- Macro Zone: The table and tofu pieces are human-sized, which is why the girl must jump over them.
- Money Multiplier: Some pets provide a chance to trigger additional gold.
- One-Hit-Point Wonder: The girl only needs to be hit once to fall off the stack.
- Play Every Day: Some clothes are unlocked by playing the game at least once on a certain number of days.
- Power Up Let Down: Getting a power-up like a rocket or a shield resets the combo streak, so if you had +5, too bad.
- Score Multiplier:
- Landing on a tofu piece perfectly enough times increase score earned from each jump by up to +5.
- Some pets have a chance to multiply points gain, which can reach up to a 100% chance to gain 10% more points.
- Shout-Out: The Painter outfit is a dead ringer for Kirby's Adeleine.
- You Are Already Dead: In gravity mode, even getting one piece of tofu slightly off will lead to the entire tower falling apart after 10 more pieces or so.
