The Legends Of Owlia is a Homebrew Action-Adventure Video Game by Gradual Games.
Long ago, the six great owls created the land of Owlia, and have ruled over it peacefully for eighty thousand years. It is in this land that a girl named Adlanniel lives with her owl, Tyto. One day, while out in the woods, the two are provided an audience by Silmarian, the king of the six great owls.
He informs Adlannniel and Tyto that Mermon, the evil king of the merfolk, having grown jealous of Owlia, has kidnapped the other great owls and is draining their power from them. Silmarian has sensed a courageous heart within Adlanniel and Tyto, and has asked them to save the great owls and all of Owlia from Mermon's plan.
So, Adlanniel and Tyto begin a quest at Silmarian's request.
The game was released for the Nintendo Entertainment System on June 7th, 2016.
The Legends Of Owlia contains examples of:
- Flying Seafood Special: Many enemies in the game are floating sea creatures, such as octopi and porcupinefish.
- Hearts Are Health: Collecting hearts restores Adlannia's health.
- Inexplicable Treasure Chest: Plenty in the land of Owlia. They look like brown boxes with wings on the front.
- Life Meter: In the top left corner of the screen, represented by a line of hearts.
- Painful Pointy Pufferfish: The pufferfish enemies in the game have spikes, which you can see if you look closely enough at their sprites.
