Every Starjeweled player ever, after losing yet another match to Kira..

An official Match-Three Game-style Game Mod of StarCraft II, created by Blizzard Entertainment in 2011. The game is a combination of traditional puzzle games, using the game's 8x8 puzzle board to create energy by matching gems, like a more compact Bejeweled. The energy can then be spent on using spells or creating units, which do battle on the game's map. Much like the original Bejeweled, the absurdly simple premise combines with a masterful execution (at least by Game Mod standards) to create a surprisingly fun experience. As expected for such a game, there is no plot whatsoever. The game is intended to be played as a 2 versus 2 team experience, but 1v1 or even 1v2 is not unheard of.

The game has a large player base, mainly owing to the fact it's an official mod for an extremely popular game, and people are going to find it sooner or later. Only a few of these players stand out from the rest in terms of skill, and they always carry some level of name recognition among frequenters. Said players tend to be dedicated to their game and enthusiastic fans, even though many of them are trolls of the first degree.

Starjeweled contains examples of:

  • Action Girl:
  • Beam Spam:
    • Whenever Colossi are spammed, energy lances fly and this is the result.
  • Computers Are Fast:
  • Game Mod:
    • Starjeweled is this for StarCraft II, and it's by that game's makers, no less!
  • Game-Breaking Bug:
    • A bug existed in the early versions of the game where one could right-click on an enemy unit to mind control it, costing 250 energy. Sometimes the energy wasn't subtracted at all.
    • Dual Wield Invalid Reset (a glitched reset achieved by making a combo of three gems by moving two gems instead of one in quick succession and pressing the reset button while this is occurring,) is arguably this, since it often results in a large amount of illegitimate combos for the performing player.
  • Match-Three Game:
    • Starjeweled is basically Bejeweled, but with a slightly smaller board and Starcraft added on! While it's true that other factors are involved besides speed, it's by far the largest unless you're simply spamming bad units.]
  • We Have Reserves:
    • Many of the stronger players do this for laughs using Zealots, holding Q and matching at a ridiculous rate and doing nothing else. More or less griefing, and is often followed by profanity and insults from the winning team.
