Souldiers is an action/plattform game made in 2022. It's about a world, Terragaya, which is threatened by destruction. So, the heroes must assemble and explore several places to save Terragaya.

This work contains examples of:

  • Bait-and-Switch Boss: The villain you chase in Sunken Loboratory is not fought. A giant metal shark eats him and fights you instead.
  • Boisterous Bruiser: General Brigard is not humble, but he is heroic and powerful.
  • Defrosting Ice Queen: Sinka. She is tough with you in the beginning, while you still are a rookie, but warms up to you the more deeds you do.
  • Demonic Possession: The parasites possess several innocent people, including your allies.
  • Elemental Rock-Paper-Scissors: Several enemies are very weak or very strong against different elemental transformations, and so are you. You should learn their strengths and weaknesses to make battles easier.
  • Evil Counterpart: The player characters have to face many minbosses which are corrupted soldiers like they could be, ranging from Dark Lance to Dark Whip.
  • Fallen Hero: Implied to be the case with all the Dark warriors, and stated outright with their leader, Dark Sword.
  • Noob Cave: The Spider Lair, which comes right after the tutorial, is the first real challenge to the player, having easy to beat enemies and the first, most straightforward transformation, as well as the first sidearms.
  • Physical Heaven: "Heaven" may be overselling it a bit but Terragaya is apparently this, with the souls of the dead from across the galaxy inhabiting it despite it being a physical planet in the universe. Dying within it results in the soul becoming Deader than Dead. Collecting all six dark crystals unlocks a small scene that explains exactly how this world became an "afterlife".
  • Sequel Hook: Parasite Zero is stopped and Beigon is saved, but the former escapes and still causes havoc.
  • Shout-Out: An optional side area in the Fire Temple features multiple levels of platforms connected with various scattered ladders, some broken, that the player must ascend while also dodging rolling obstacles that come falling down from below. Sound familiar?
  • The Very Definitely Final Dungeon: The Dragon Castle, which is home to rare, very powerful enemies, and has a Boss Rush against all Dark warriors before you face their leader, all before you also confront a giant dragon, while epic music is playing in the background. Afterwards, you climb several stairs and take on several waves of parasites before the Final Boss.
