This Mod contains examples of:

  • Actor Allusion: During one part of "Hyperlink", Spamton, who's voiced by Juno Songs, proceeds to quote "earthquakes and thunderstorms, bass smashing through" from Juno's Zavodila cover.
  • Big "SHUT UP!": Susie lets two out during "In My Way" and "Smile Award" respectively.
  • Bloodless Carnage: Originally played straight with Boyfriend in "The End", but ends up Subverted for Boyfriend and painfully Averted for Kris and Susie, though a lot less noticeable in Susie's case. When Boyfriend gets impaled, he just goes monochrome, like how he would if he got a miss. However, once he starts singing again, he visibly starts coughing up blood. Susie and Kris do visibly bleed when they get impaled.
  • Boastful Rap: Spamton has shades of this in Hyperlink Reloaded, where some of his spoken lines seem to be him glorifying the power he's gained as a [BIG SHOT].
Spamton NEO: [POWERFUL!] [Tougher than any beard] [The Amazing...] [BIG SHOT] [Right here!]
Spamton NEO: [[Every]] [Friend] [You] [HAVE] [Will] [Go away!] [ y o u ] [HAVE] [No <3] [Self-Respect] [but that can change today!] [[Now's your chance to BE A BIG SHOT!]]
  • Demoted to Extra:
    • Queen only makes a couple of cameos during "Chips Ahoyeth" through a screen, and lacks a physical appearance.
    • Boyfriend, the protagonist of Friday Night Funkin', only appears in a small few songs, those being "All-Stars", "Goner", "Astra Perambulis" and "My Man", otherwise being absent from the rest of the mod.
  • Eye Scream: In the middle of "Ragdoll Chaos", Jevil pulls out a Devilsknife and proceeds to slash Seam in the right eye with it, tying into the fan-theory that Seam lost one of his eyes thanks to Jevil and then covered it with a button.
  • Hopeless Boss Fight: "The End", full-stop. While Boyfriend does pick up the pace for half the song, Gaster decides to then and there impale Boyfriend through the chest, draining him of most of his life, but still leaving him alive. And even when Susie and Kris together try to pull a Big Damn Heroes to save him, Gaster effortlessly erases both of them away soon after, leaving Boyfriend to futilely face the abomination of a mystery man all alone.
  • Interface Screw: The song "Goner" dwells in this for the timer. While it is initially shown to be 30 seconds long, once the beat drops, the timer endlessly increases to well over an hour. This doesn't affect the song itself, however. This also happens in Astra Perambulis, after the second drop. However, around this time most of the rank overlay is also replaced by “This text is pissing me off.”
    • Played for laughs in "Lore (Deltarune Mix)", as when Triple-J enters the song, the timer decides to bump itself up to almost 2 hours. As before, this has no effect on the song's actual length.
    • Played straight for "The End". The song originally shows that it's a minute and 39 seconds, but following Boyfriend's impaling, the song timer doubles, and actually does have an effect on the song's length.
  • Meaningful Name: Thesperus is taken from the term "thespian", another word for actor, which is exactly what she used to be.
  • Original Generation:
    • While Mike is a canon character, very little is known about him beyond his connection to Spamton. The TV-headed design seen in this mod is instead a popular interpretation of what Mike might look like in Chapter 3.
    • Thesperus is a straighter example, being created solely for the mod as a hypothetical Superboss for the same chapter as Mike, using Spamton and Jevil as references.
    • Skuntle Bingoid also plays this straight, being a fan-made character for the Deltarune universe.
  • Riches to Rags: According to Word of God, Thesperus used to be a famous actor on Mike's TV channel, only to fall into obscurity when Mike bought the rights to her smile to be used in adverts.
  • Shout-Out:
  • Title Drop: Roulxls Kaard says "Chips Ahoyeth, worms!" before the beat drop in the titular song.
  • The Voiceless: Kris lacks a proper voice, with their chromatics consisting solely of sound effects from Deltarune.
