"Mom! Phineas and Ferb are making another video game!"

Phineas And Ferb: Quest for Cool Stuff is a Licensed Game based on the Phineas and Ferb television series. The game was developed by Behaviour Interactive and published by Majesco for the Wii, Wii U, Nintendo DS, Nintendo 3DS, and Xbox 360 in 2013. It is the final standalone Phineas and Ferb console video game to be released during the show's original run.

It's the last week of summer, and Phineas and Ferb plan to check out their local museum. However, realizing that they've already seen all the exhibits, the boys decide to build their own Museum of Cool right in their backyard. In order to find exhibits for their museum, they build a walking machine called the All-Terrain Transformable (A.T.T.) and take it to the legendary Temple Of Cool to search for treasures. Meanwhile, their secret-agent pet Perry the Platypus is on his own mission to stop the latest evil scheme of his nemesis, Dr. Doofenshmirtz.

The game is a two-dimensional side-scrolling Platform Game. Phineas and Ferb explore various stage in their A.T.T., searching for treasures to add to their museum while jumping over obstacles and avoiding enemies. The A.T.T. has two basic modes that it can switch between at any time with the press of a button, with the mode being determined by which of the two brothers is driving. When Ferb drives, the A.T.T. is more agile, being able to run faster and perform various acrobatics with the machine's arms to contribute to the platforming. When Phineas takes control, the machine slows down, but the arms merge together to form a large drill on the front, which can be used to break through weak walls.

Certain stages temporarily take focus away from the brothers and allow the player to control Perry on his own quest to stop Dr. Doofenshmirtz' latest scheme. Perry plays very similarly to Phineas and Ferb, though he has a few of his own tricks, such as being able to drop down on all fours to disguise himself as a regular platypus and avoid security lights.

This game provides examples of:

  • Ability Required to Proceed:
    • Certain levels contain areas where Phineas and Ferb cannot progress until they build a certain upgrade for the A.T.T. Attempting to enter these areas will result in Phineas exclaiming that they cannot proceed and will have to come back later.
    • Entire levels will be blocked off if Phineas and Ferb have not obtained an upgrade that is necessary to complete them.
  • Action Prologue: The game begins with an opening stage where Perry breaks into Doofenshmirtz's base and foils his latest plan before Phineas and Ferb are even introduced.
  • Bonus Stage: By finding hidden paths in each stage, Phineas and Ferb can find a bonus game where Ferb exits the A.T.T. and must collect all of the sprockets by bouncing around on the gelatine plants. Collecting them all will award the player with one of that stage's treasure chests.
  • Credits Gag: Leroy the Janitor receives a special thanks in the middle of the credits, something Doofenshmirtz acknowledges once his name appears.
  • Death Is a Slap on the Wrist: Running out of health results in your character being sent back to the last checkpoint they reached with no additional penalties.
  • Gelatinous Trampoline: The Temple of Cool contains many gelatine plants that the A.T.T. can jump on in order to reach higher places. They tend to appear frequently in the bonus stages, where Ferb needs to bounce on them to reach the Sprockets high in the air.
  • The Ghost: As Perry is breaking into Doof's lab at the beginning of the game, Doof initially mistakes him for a janitor named Leroy, who never appears in person. He does inadvertantly help Perry destroy Doof's latest Inator at the end, though.
  • Goomba Stomp: Enemies can be defeated by jumping and landing on top of their heads.
  • Hero of Another Story: While Phineas and Ferb are collecting treasure at the Temple of Cool, Perry is off on his own adventure, breaking into Doofenshmirtz Evil Inc. to stop the doctor's latest evil scheme.
  • Hub Level: Phineas and Ferb can walk around their backyard between levels. Here, they can accept quests from their friends as they arrive, customize the A.T.T., and check out the Museum of Cool.
  • Minecart Madness: Once the A.T.T. has gotten the wheels upgrade, Phineas and Ferb can ride it on mine cart tracks. During the ride, they have to jump over pits and avoid enemies.
  • Mini-Mecha: Phineas and Ferb explore using the All-Terrain-Transformable, a walking machine just big enough for the two of them to fit inside.
  • Mooks, but no Bosses: The Temple of Cool is guarded by stone guardians, and Doof's lab is patrolled by Norm-bots, but the game does not contain any boss battles.
  • No Ending: Upon completing the final stage, the game instantly moves on to the credits after the loading screen.
  • Phoneaholic Teenager: Candace spends nearly the entire game holed up in her room chatting away on her phone. If Phineas and Ferb walk close to their house, the player can even listen in on her conversations. Between certain stages, there is a subplot where she accidentally drops it out the window and breaks it, so Phineas and Ferb decide to fix it, while also adding their own modifications.
  • Save the Villain: When Perry arrives at Doofenshmirtz Evil Incorporated for the second time, he learns that Doof is under attack by his own Norm patrol-bots, and he begs for Perry to save him. While Perry suspects it's a trap, it turns out Doof was telling the truth... but he captures Perry anyway after being rescued.
  • Score Multiplier: Each stage has three Ducky Momo plushes Phineas and Ferb can collect, and these grant them a multiplier for the roulette at the end of the stage. The number of Sprockets they receive will be multiplied by two, three, or five depending on how many they collect.
  • Space Zone: The final world takes Phineas and Ferb to the Moon. The gravity here is much weaker than on Earth, allowing the A.T.T. to jump much higher, and even float through space in submarine mode in stage 4-2.
  • Spanner in the Works: Doof unplugged the self-destruct button to his Attract-Cool-Stuff-Inator to stop Perry from using it, but Leroy the Janitor plugged it back in offscreen as an act of courtesy, allowing Perry to foil his plan.
  • Spin Attack: When Ferb is driving the A.T.T., he can attack enemies by twirling around with his arms out.
  • The Spiny: Certain enemies have spikes on top of their heads. Attempting to jump on top of them will do nothing but harm your character, so they will have to use other attacks to defeat them.
  • Start My Own: The plot begins with Phineas and Ferb realizing that they've already seen everything at the local museum, so they decide to build their own, and much of the game is based around searching for treasures to put in as exhibits.
  • Temple of Doom: The majority of the game takes place in the legendary Temple of Cool, an ancient temple out in the rainforest full of all kinds of cool treasure, but also full of dangerous stone guardians, lava, and other kinds of traps.
  • This Is a Drill: The A.T.T. has a large drill mounted on the front any time Phineas is driving it. The drill can be used to break through blocks and to attack enemies.
  • Timed Mission: Buford challenges Phineas and Ferb to clear specific stages they've already been to within a given time limit. If they successfully beat his times, he will award them with customization parts for the A.T.T.
  • Underground Level: The second major area of the Temple of Cool is located in underground mines. The area consists entirely of rocky caverns, and there are some mine cart tracks that Phineas and Ferb can ride on once they have added wheels to the A.T.T.
  • Under the Sea: Certain levels have Phineas and Ferb take the A.T.T. underwater. These levels feature a unique submarine mode for the A.T.T., which has the drill on the front at all times, and can move around the screen in all directions.
  • Wall Jump: Both Perry and the A.T.T. have the ability to cling to walls and jump off of them to reach higher areas, though the A.T.T. can only use this ability while Ferb is driving.
