One in a Trillion is a game for mobile phones by HamLab/CarlMarc released in 2020. The goal is collecting all 175+ eggs in four different ways: touching the screen, playing a minigame where you have to pick three eggs out of nine randomly, playing a minigame where eggs show up on the screen randomly, and cleaning dirty ones. While playing, you receive money and gems that let you take part in more difficult minigames and improve your odds, eventually making it to the coveted 1 in 1 Trillion eggs.

This game provides examples of:

  • Absurdly High Level Cap: There does not seem to be a defined level cap. Many players reach level 50 or even 100 fairly easily, but to reach 465, the game requires more than a billion taps.
  • Author Avatar: Carl, the developer, appears in the game's tutorial as an egg meant to look like him.
  • Blush Sticker: Lomond eggs can be recognized by red circles on where their cheeks would be.
  • Evolving Title Screen: The title screen displays the rarest eggs you've unlocked.
  • Factor Breakdown: The stat screen writes your multiplier that comes from level and daily bonuses, while the gem pop screen shows how many taps you'd get based on red/blue gems and the aforementioned multiplier.
  • Glitch Entity: Heavily implied with Glitch. While the egg's origin is unknown, its name and design that shows several graphical glitches indicate it does not exist naturally.
  • Gotta Catch 'Em All: The game's goal is collecting all eggs, and if that's not enough, you have to get each one in four possible ways (except for the 1 in 250 ones, as those can't be found by cleaning).
  • Level Grinding: You level up once you've tapped the screen enough times. Each level increases your luck, which does not improve the odds of finding a better egg as you'd expect, but rather grants more free taps in minigames and improves their max difficulty at a high enough level.
  • Luck-Based Mission: The entire game functions like one, as it's all based on the odds of finding rare eggs and other goodies.
  • Microtransactions: There are some exclusive eggs that can be unlocked for real money. You can also buy yellow gems to unlock regular eggs faster, but those can be earned by simply progressing through the game.
  • Money Grinding: Each tap gives 1$ and sometimes you can find eggs to sell. You usually need to grind for money to buy upgrades or take part in minigames.
  • Money Sink: There's the "Do not buy" option for 100 million $, Trivia on Discord for 10 million $, and access to elite Discord channels for yellow gems. These are practically useless unless the player cares about Discord and has nothing better to spend cash/yellow gems on.
  • No Fair Cheating: Using an automatic tapper is forbidden and can get you banned from the Compete feature.
  • Play Every Day: Every day lets you try your hand at getting a daily bonus egg that improves luck. However, every day you don't find the special egg subtracts 0.3 from the bonus from them.
  • Punny Name: The golden egg shown on the game's icon has a 1 in a trillion chance of being found and is named Trilly.
  • Schmuck Bait: There's a "Do Not Buy" option in the shop that costs 100 million $, with the game asking why you'd buy it. If you take the plunge, the game calls you a chancer and sends you off on a scavenger hunt to find an exclusive egg.
