Knight Bewitched 2 is a 2020 RPG Maker MV game developed by Joshua Keith and Team Bewitched. It's the second entry of Timeline 2 of the Knights of Ambrose series and the sequel to Knight Bewitched in that timeline.

Rae, Alex, and Hermes join the previous game's party in order to help the Deepforge dwarves reclaim their ancestral home in the Underworld. Although they quickly succeed in this task, they encounter the remnants of the Cult of Drakon, led by Lissandra. Lissandra plans to use the Vulcan Stone to revive Typhus the Worldbreaker, and the party needs to stop her in order to prevent their old foe from trying to wipe out humanity again.

A sequel, Celestial Hearts was released in 2021.

  • Acquired Poison Immunity: Malady has the Innoculated passive, which grants her immunity to poison. She gained this ability due to constantly working with poisons and chemicals.
  • Ambiguous Situation: There's a nameless monk who shows up for a sidequest, where he wants the party to place a beacon at the center of the Underworld map. This also happens to be where Heaven's Door spawned in Finding Light, which implies the monk is Gi and that he's making preparations on Zamas's behalf. However, it's unknown what exactly the monk's beacon does.
  • Ascended Extra: The Deepforge dwarves were sidequest characters in the previous game. In this game, they're more involved in the main plot because the party is helping them reclaim their home in the Underworld.
  • Bag of Spilling: Ruth, Gwen, Stray, and Uno return as playable characters, but they don't keep their levels, lategame skills, and equipment from the previous game.
  • Beneath the Earth: Deepforge I is buried deep underground, and there's an entire world map underground known as the Ambrose Underworld, just like the Underworld of Final Fantasy IV. This takes place before the dungeon, Heaven's Door, raised the lava sea level, so more locations are available than in Finding Light.
  • The Chessmaster: Despite his nervous disposition, the whole plot more or less goes according to Hermes's plan. He knows the Vulcan Stone is in the Underworld, so he tells the dwarves about a passage to it so that they'll organize an expedition to Deepforge I, putting the party in a position to find the Vulcan Stone pieces. He then tells Lissandra about the expedition and arranges for the party to find the pieces so that Lissandra doesn't have to risk her life. When the party finds the pieces, Hermes gives the pieces to Lissandra and allows her to escape, but then he tells the party where she's going so that when they reclaim the stone, it'll be in its completed form. In the final dungeon, this allows him to use the stone to remove "Lilith's Blessing" from Lissandra, bringing her back to normal at the cost of his own sanity and humanity.
  • Death by Materialism: The dwarves of the first Deepforge were obsessed with digging for more treasure, but they eventually dug so much that the caves collapsed and their castle was submerged in magma. Many dwarves died because they refused to part with their riches despite the imminent danger.
  • Dragon Ascendant: In the previous game, Lissandra fled the Lair of Typhus the Younger because she's next in line to take over the Drakon Cult if Hydrax dies. Since Hydrax is dead by the time of this game, she's now in charge of the cult. She seeks the two halves of the Vulcan Stone so that she can revive Typhus.
  • Everyone Has Standards: Uno may be willing to kill to enact justice, but he refuses to kill Ash when he learns the latter was brainwashed to commit crimes.
  • Good Is Not Soft: Rae is friendly to others and is open-minded about learning about the world outside the Amazoness community, but when Hermes betrays the party by giving the Vulcan Stone halves to Lissandra, Rae grabs him by the neck and threatens to throw him to his death if he doesn't explain himself.
  • Heel–Face Turn:
    • In the main story, Ogronn is an ogre leader who obstructs the party from reclaiming Deepforge and from getting to Null Fortress. In the endgame, he goes to Vulcan in the hopes of raiding the town, but when he sees that citizens are devastated from a recent volcano eruption, he takes pity on them and helps them rebuild. When he meets the party again, he buries the hatchet with them and sends them on a quest to play hide-and-seek with his seemingly sapient doll.
    • In the final dungeon, Lissandra is freed from the evil influence of Lilith's master, but this required Hermes to use the Vulcan Stone, causing him to be transformed into a feral demon. After Lissandra helps the party Mercy Kill Hermes, she vows to destroy Lilith's master.
  • The Hermit: Ash was once a brainwashed minion of Mona and was forced to kill anyone who opposed her rule. When he regained control, he holed up in a cabin in the snowy wilderness out of guilt.
  • Hidden Heart of Gold: Even after being freed from Lilith's master, Lissandra is still very haughty and rude to the party, and seemingly shows no sadness when they Mercy Kill her brother. After the credits, she secretly visits her brother's grave and swears to defeat Lilith's master.
  • Honor Before Reason: In Zamaste, there's no one running the shops, but despite Alex's insistence on taking free stuff, the party still pays money before taking any items or even using the inn to heal.
  • Infinity +1 Sword: If the player delivers 8 Magma Cores to Ullo, he'll use them to upgrade his furnace. He'll then sell the strongest weapons in the game: Sylvanathras, Hand of Light, Durandal, the Stabmaster, Drill Arm, Fist of the South Star, Spear Cannon, Rainbow Staff, Flare Staff, and Midnight Staff.
  • Leaked Experience: Reserve party members get full EXP. However, characters leave the party for plot reasons don't get any EXP, though they do return at a reasonable level for the current challenges.
  • Meaningful Name: Hermes has the name of the Greek trickster god, which is odd for someone who comes across as a mild-mannered cleric. It turns out he's The Mole for Lissandra and is manipulating both sides so he can use the Vulcan Stone to free Lissandra from Zamas's influence.
  • The Mole: When the Cult of Drakon intercepts the party at Spore Marsh, they believe someone within Deepforge is feeding information to the cult. The traitor turns out to be Hermes, who is actually Lissandra's brother. Played with in that he always planned to take the Vulcan Stone from her so he can use it to restore her sanity, but at the cost of his own.
  • Moveset Clone: At the end of the game, Hermes turns into a demon, but uses the last of his sanity to transfer his powers to Lissandra so that she can use cleric skills to help the party. As a result, she joins the the exact same stats, skills, and equipment as Hermes.
  • Peninsula of Power Leveling: After completing Zamaste, it's possible to sail to a patch of land on the Vulcan continent, where late game enemies spawn. This seems to be intentional game design, since the miniguide specifically lists this spot.
  • Pre-existing Encounters: The game has a setting that makes the majority of enemies either roaming or random encounters, though some enemies in dungeons will always be preexisting while all world map enemies will always be random.
  • Promoted to Playable: Rae and Alex were two characters that only briefly were introduced in the previous game drinking in a city and giving tips to Ruth on how to explore the Midnight. Hermes is a novice cleric and a friend of Ruth's she can briefly speak with in the initial town of the game. They're now playable characters and members of your party.
  • Properly Paranoid: Alex is suspicious of Hermes from the start and pretends to have read his diary in order to trick him into admitting his sister is the one who had the vision about the Underworld. It turns out his sister is actually Lissandra, the current leader of the Cult of Drakon, and Hermes is acting as her mole.
  • Rage Against the Heavens: After the credits, Lissandra confirms that a god is commanding Lilith from behind the scenes, and she seeks to destroy that god for manipulating her and forcing Hermes to sacrifice himself.
  • Restored My Faith in Humanity: Naitaka lost hope in coexisting with humans, elves, and dwarves after the people of Deepforge abandoned their home. After the party defeats him, the citizens of Eredor give Naitaka medical attention, causing him to realize that coexistence is still possible.
  • Sealed Evil in a Can: In the final dungeon, Hermes becomes a demon because he used the Vulcan Stone to free Lissandra from Lilith's master. Before he loses his sanity, he attempts to seal himself in another dimension, but the party follows him in and delivers a Mercy Kill.
  • Sequel Hook: In the ending, Lissandra seeks to defeat the divine being who is pulling the strings behind Typhus and Lilith, and Uno and Malady plan on secretly helping her.
  • Terror Hero: Despite his reputation as an assassin, Uno claims that he killed less than five people. This is because even five assassinations are enough to deter potential targets from committing any crime that would make them stand out.
  • Weak Boss, Strong Underlings: Lissandra is the current leader of the Cult of Drakon, and she has many demons and at least one boss-tier warrior, Strife, under her command. She's not that powerful herself though, since Rae easily defeats her in a cutscene.
  • With Great Power Comes Great Insanity: The Vulcan Stone can grant wishes, but at the cost of turning its user into an insane demonic being. According to Tiamat, this is how Typhus fell to evil, which implies that the stone is cursed by Lilith's master.
