Aphin Protretho (aka: The_Sarcastic_Salarian), is one of the CDN board's most popular - and probably the most insane - characters. Currently employed as a salarian mercenary aboard the Nialla, little is really known about his past; it has been confirmed many times that he's ex-STG, and that he has a long-running hatred for a salarian scientist/cyborg known as Algar. In other words, he's a retired badass. Aside from that, his days at C-SEC are well documented; he worked there for about four years before an internal incident caused him to quit his job, cowboy cop style, and take his partner to the Nialla where he now serves as First Officer. He is credited with bringing buddy cop show style shenanigans to the board, as well as the world "Shrell."
Aphin has numerous quirks associated with him, running from staging elaborate pranks on crew members/friends/anyone who rubs him the wrong way, his idea that ducts equals stealth, and that he's getting way too old for the life he leads. Also, he has rumors of Ho Yay with his partner following him around, no matter how much he protests against it.
