Eddie Van Helsing is a programmer/sysadmin living in New York. He claims to be ten thousand years old and an Asura
 , but he's really only 30 years old and spent far too much time reading obscure mythology as a kid. Naturally, he's a Shin Megami Tensei fan. He came up with his name while drunk in college, reading Dracula while listening to Van Halen.
When not screwing around here, working at his day job, or being a loving husband, Eddie Van Helsing is working on a science fantasy novel called Starbreaker. He does it mainly to amuse himself and entertain his wife, but if he ever finishes the demon-ridden thing he will attempt to publish it.
He tends to be cynical, and his sense of humor is somewhat depraved. However, if one catches him off-guard, he can be almost kind. However, he tends to meow at telemarketers.
Reports of his demise were, unfortunately, mistaken. He has a blog called Proper Gander now.
