• Creator Backlash:
  • In a slightly depressing interview, Davenport admits that he hates the first Xtro film (and the soundtrack he composed for it too), hates Xtro 2 even more (and admits there was only one reason he made it). Oddly enough, he "has affection" for Xtro 3, which is usually regarded as just as bad, if not moreso than the second one.
  • When she was once asked about the film, Maryam d'Abo said she "barely remembered being in it".
• Development Hell: Xtro 4 has been confirmed in development since at least 2010, but other than minor quips about it every couple of years its status has been unknown.
• Follow the Leader: The film's gruesome focus on horrific birthings and eggs that clasp onto humans' faces was no doubt indebted to the likes of Alien and The Brood.
• Hostility on the Set: On the set of the second film, Davenport and Jan-Michael Vincent didn't get along at all. According to Davenport, Vincent made no effort in reading the script and had to ask for lines multiple times.
• Vindicated by Cable: HBO once again took an obscure British sci-fi B-Movie and make it a cult hit.
• Working Title: Was originally written under the title Judas Goat.
