- Casting Gag: In a bit of Irony, Vermeil is played by Maaya Uchida, whose previous role was the practically-asexual Bakarina. Especially since she uses the exact same voice for both characters.
- Dueling Works: A double duel with two similar works that debut in the same anime season.
- With Call of the Night, which is another romantic comedy "boy meets supernatural girl" with the protagonist also having a childhood friend. For added bonus, both female leads were voiced by siblings in the English dub.
- With Engage Kiss which also features purple and pink-haired female love interests of the main character and a demoness powered up by making out. Just with ages and hair color reversed. (In Engage Kiss the demoness is a pink-haired high school girl and the other love interest is an early 20s ex-girlfriend).
