• Approval of God: David Jaffe has said that he loved the series, especially the appearance of Crazy Harold the Wacky Lunch Sack that only appeared in Needles Kane's ending from the original Twisted Metal
• California Doubling: The show was filmed in Louisiana, which stands in for the show's various settings across the Western and Midwestern United States. While the scenes in California doesn't look too off, the thick foliage is noticeable in what's supposed to be Nevada, as are the palm trees in what's supposed to be the Midwest.
• Descended Creator: Both Anthony Mackie and Will Arnett serve as executive producers for the series, and also appear in the series as John Doe and the voice of Sweet Tooth, respectively.
• Dueling Dubs: There's two Latin American Spanish dubs: One done in Mexico for use on HBO Max, and another done in Colombia for Peacock.
• Looping Lines: Sweet Tooth is portrayed on-screen by Samoa Joe, but his voice is provided by Will Arnett.
