• Approval of God: Dre Drexler, Mark McGrath, Matty "Fucking" Smokes, GT Dave, and Dhar Mann all loved the videos on them. The latter four even hung out with Cody and Noel personally.
• Colbert Bump:
  • GT Dave's Kombucha brand got a rather substantial boost in recognition after Cody and Noel did their video on him.
  • Their "That's Cringe" on Girl Defined had the mostly unintentional side effect of bringing attention to the sisters, causing multiple commentary channels to discuss them and their controversial beliefs and practices.
• The Danza: Cody's character in the Dhar Man sketch he co-wrote is named Cody.
• Referenced by...: They seem to be Drew Gooden's go-to example for Youtubers who take a stab at music careers and are actually talented at it enough to deserve their success in that venture.
• Streisand Effect:
  • Their jabs at Jake Paul eventually culminated in a brief rivalry where Jake attacked Cody by calling him a cyberbully. Unfortunately, Jake didn't seem to know that he had a sizable hatedom and exposing said hatedom to an entertaining alternative to his content resulted in Cody amassing even more subscribers than he would've if Jake never acknowledged him. Cody even theorized that this was invoked by Jake's editor, who could very well have been a secret fan of Cody, because all the clips "proving" that Cody was a bully came across more as a highlight reel of his best moments than an indictment of him genuinely hurting people (one of the clips happened to be the "cum powder" clip that is now Cody's Signature Scene). This also led to many other commentary channels and even PewDiePie coming to Cody's defence, praising his work and style. So, in addition to gaining more subscribers, he's now also one of the most universally loved commentary channels on Youtube.
  • This almost happened with GT Dave and his Kombucha brand. According to him, after the video on him blew up his management contacted him and warned him about it, promising retaliation. He managed to avoid this by finding the video Actually Pretty Funny and inviting Cody and Noel to his home to hang out and basically have even more of a Colbert Bump for his brand by showing himself as a good sport.
