• Accidentally-Correct Writing: Tommy Brock apparently intends to join Mr. Tod and McGregor's cat on their “celebratory feast” (said feast being Peter’s friends). This was likely another holdover from the character originally being a badger, but while hedgehogs mainly feed on invertebrates (insects, snails, slugs, earthworms) they are also known for preying on small rodents, frogs, lizards, and even snakes, so a carnivorous hedgehog isn't as far-fetched as it might seem.
• Edited for Syndication: Golden Films (in order to avoid paying royalties to Beatrix Potter's estate and to not exclude the movie from the Enchanted Tales line-up so quickly) made edited version of their Peter Rabbit movie called The New Adventures of Reggie Rabbit, in which Peter has been renamed as Reggie and removes other references indicating the movie was adapted from Beatrix Potter's novel. The main reason for its existence was the then-recently implemented EU's 1993 Copyright Duration Directive which retroactively extended the copyright length to 70 years after the author's death.^note Peter Rabbit has been in public domain in the US for a long time due to his first appearance in the 1910 book, while in Canada, Australia, New Zealand and originally most of Europe, the copyrights to the aforementioned character (along with other Beatrix Potter works) expired in 1994 (around the time Golden Film's adaptation was released); however, the 1993 Directive extended the copyright length on Potter's works in the EU to 2014. However the original version of the Peter Rabbit movie was available OnDemand completely unedited and retained the original title.
• Production Posse: This is yet another Golden Films movie that stars Cam Clarke as the young male protagonist. Jeff Bennett, who frequently appeared in them as well, also plays Benny.
