• The Cast Showoff: The "Can't Help Falling In Love" scene is mostly there to show the audience Patrick Wilson's fantastic singing skills. Wilson being an old Broadway hand who has sung some of the most famous leading roles in musical theatre, nobody's complaining.
• Dyeing for Your Art: Madison Wolfe is a natural blonde, but plays Janet with a light brown Sci-Fi Bob Haircut.
• Fake Brit: Madison Wolfe, the actress who played Janet Hodgson, is American. Meanwhile, Janet's mother, Peggy Hodgson, is played by Frances O'Connor, who, while born a Brit, is raised an Australian. Lauren Esposito (Margaret Hodgson) is Australian. Maria Doyle Kennedy and Simon Delaney (Peggy and Vic Nottingham) are both Irish.
• The Foreign Subtitle: In the UK and Ireland, where the Enfield Poltergeist incident is naturally much more well-known than the US, the film was titled The Conjuring 2: The Enfield Case. The French version is Conjuring 2 : Le Cas Enfield, a literal translation of this subtitle.
• Release Date Change: The film was originally slated for release on October 23, 2015, but was pulled from schedule a year before release. A month later, it was rescheduled for June 10, 2016.
• What Could Have Been: The Nun was originally an animatronic demon based on a Dracula design James Wan created for a scrapped Castlevania project.
