  • Author's Saving Throw: For a long time, Zayden made it clear that even if the readers didn't find his treatment of Kaminari and Mineta to be funny, he did, and would gladly continue to up the amount just to spite the detractors. Nor did he care for those claiming he was subjecting the members of the Sisterhood to "derailment" in the name of said "humor". Around the time of "Ivy Valentine vs. Black Orchid" however, Zayden decided to accelerate his original plans for that subplot, toning down the level of pain Kaminari and Mineta get dealt, giving them moments that aren't related solely to them being perverts, and having the Sisterhood realize they screwed up and were way past the line, being taken to task for their behavior by Midnight and Nedzu shortly after. The reviews in turn began to lean somewhat more positively towards this change and consider it appropriate course correction.
  • Channel Hop: Due to FFN's policy on reaction fics and the use of copyrighted material outside of normal fanfiction standards, Zayden has both MHA Watches Death Battle and MHA Watches the MCU on Archive of Our Own in case the moderators on the former decide to remove his stories. This would prove wise when FFN removed MHA Watches Death Battle, necessitating it remain solely on AO3, but in a case of irony, someone reported MHA Watches the MCU on AO3, which got it removed there yet remains untouched on FFN. As he himself explained in the AN for Chapter 22:
Zayden: Like many have already known, this story was also on the other fanfic website, Archive of Our Own, until I was forced to removed it from said website after copyright allegations from a complaint, whether by the site itself or by some snitching douche I don't know. But with this unfortunate incident, Welcome to the MCU will now be exclusively on FFN, and its sister series, MHA Watches Death Battle will be an AO3 exclusive.
  • Cowboy BeBop at His Computer: In "Goku vs. Superman", Zayden mistakenly attributes Goku's knowledge of the Instant Transmission to King Kai, claiming he learned it alongside the Kaio Ken and the Spirit Bomb. Goku actually learned the Instant Transmission on Planet Yardrat, the natives, specifically their elder Pybara, having taught Goku after nursing him back to health following the death of Frieza and destruction of Planet Namek. King Kai's only claim of even knowing how to perform Instant Transmission came from a filler moment in the anime adaptation of the Cell Games Saga.
  • Dear Negative Reader: Zayden has a history of considering negative responses as coming from "naysayers" and haters. While they don't go on tirades or rants at them when responding, they'll occassionally drop little jabs at them in the author notes, and go out of their way to emphasize the things that pissed said commenters off.
  • Outdated by Canon:
    • The rationale behind making Monoma's counterparts be the more villainous Starscream, in "Starscream vs. Rainbow Dash", and Bass, in "Dr. Eggman vs. Dr. Wily", was that Zayden was convinced Monoma was the U.A. Traitor, and was using said counterparts as an In-Universe reason for Nedzu to suspect him. The actual U.A. Traitor would later be revealed to be Aoyama, having been Forced into Evil so he could protect his parents after they owed All For One a debt for giving Aoyama a Quirk. This revelation would be implemented into the fic itself by having their thoughts shown to make clear they are a Regretful Traitor, with any subsequent suspicions of Monoma instead serving as a Red Herring, and any subsequent focus on Monoma being more in line with his canonical Inferiority Superiority Complex.
    • During "Pikachu vs. Blanka", the students make reference to the meme that Ash is an "immortal ten year old", and state that even in their era, he's still 10 years old and the protagonist of the series after several hundred more seasons. Pokémon Journeys however, serving as Seasons 23-25, would be Ash's final season after finally becoming the World Champion, with the next season based on Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, Pokémon Horizons: The Series, focusing on a new protagonist, Liko. Zayden himself would comment on this in the AN for the "Pokemon Battle Royale", giving the hand wave that, due to the advent of Quirks causing chaos, Ash may have been left protag longer than he did in reality.
Zayden: Also, yes, I got the news that Ash is leaving the Pokémon anime as the protagonist, which makes my earlier joke in Pikachu vs Blanka rather dated, but hey, this a world where Quirks had appeared roughly around our modern time, theoretically at least, and the resulting chaos perhaps had changes different from ours, like Ash still the protagonist to this day.
  • Trolling Creator: Zayden doesn't hesitate to read the comments and reviews left, and is fully aware of how many people think they take the Pervert Revenge Mode on Kaminari and Mineta too far and how the harem subplot dominates the story. So what do they do? Do it even more! As Zayden put it themselves in the author's note for "Ryu Hayabusa vs. Strider Hiryu":
Zayden: Check out my other stories if you like, keep each other safe and healthy, especially with still out there virus and monkeypox, comment who you think will counterparts in the future, how much more punishment will make Mineta and Kaminari endure just to spite my naysayers, and because it's funny, and keep being chill and civil with me and each other.
  • What Could Have Been: In MHA watches Death Battle, Zayden had originally intended the aphrodisiac subplot to last longer than it did, wanting Izuku to be under it's effects for the entirety of that days viewing, and only be fixed later in the day. Following complaints of the treatment Kaminari and Mineta were receiving leading to Humor Dissonance and the Sisterhood coming across as too unsympathetic throughout the subplot however, Zayden decided to accelerate the timetable, having the effects of the aphrodisiac cured earlier and the girls undergoing a Heel Realization earlier.
  • Write What You Know:
    • Izuku's Daddy Issues are based on Zayden's own experience with his parents' divorce.
    • Ibara's volunteering at the elderly homes is based on Zayden's own experience in Real Life.
