• Acting for Two: In the Engilsh dub of the series Keith Scott voices Arktos, James, Shouhu and Vulture while Robin Moore voices Happy, Neeja Digby and Lily
• Creator Backlash: Peter Maffay for some reason doesn't like to talk about the animated series... to the point of banning one of fans on his Facebook who asked him about the soundtrack from the series.
  • This seems to be not only related to the case of animated series, since he did not react to the movie being advertised as being somehow connected to Frozen II or negative reviews regarding the poor marketing.
• I Want You to Meet an Old Friend of Mine: The english version of the 2018 movie which in some territories is known as Ice Princess Lily ironically reunites two cast members from another animated project featuring a dragon who is the Last of His Kind, the 2005 Canadian-New Zealand All-CGI Cartoon Jane and the Dragon, Cameron Ansell who voices Tabuluga and Benedict Campbell who voices Arktos, the former playing Prince Cuthbert and the latter playing Sir Ivon.
• No Export for You:
  • Everything beside the cartoon and 2018 movie is not available outside Germany. ^note That said, the full soundtrack from 2018 movie was globally available on Spotify around premiere in Germany, but without Tabaluga and Ich fuhl wie du songs. Come April 2019 and none of said tracks can be listned outside Germany since.
  • An interesting case with animated series: English distribution of season 2 (and by extension every single one that translated from English) has intro made up with reused shots from season 1. However, German version intro has actual season 2 shots.
• The Other Darrin:
  • Larelle Creek replaced Robyn Moore in the PC game Tabaluga's Hall of Fame Games.
  • Everyone from the animated series was recast for Ice Princess Lily such as Tabaluga going from Jamie Oxenbould to Cameron Ansell, Arktos going from Keith Scott to Ben Campbell and Nessaja going from Robyn Moore to Elizabeth Hanna.
• Post-Script Season: Season 1 was based entirely on stories covered by music albums (and Maffay and co. actively worked on it), while seasons 2 and 3 were completely new ideas with little to no cooperation from Maffay.
• Star-Making Role: In Polish version, the role of Tabaluga was the first big one for Tomasz Bednarek. Only then he got to voice Anakin Skywalker.
• Screwed by the Network: The Animated Adaptation was slated to air in the United States on FOX Family, but wound up being replaced at the last minute by Mister Moose's Fun Time. A year later, the show appeared on BoyzChannel...which only appeared on a handful of cable providers and closed down shortly after.
  • When the show aired on Cartoon Network in the UK, it was mainly broadcasted in the graveyard slot.
• Unfinished Dub: The Italian dub exaggerates this trope, given that only the first 2 episodes were dubbed.
