- Dueling Works: With The Logia Brothers, having very similar premises on Luffy gaining a different Logia Devil Fruit, entering a polyamorous relationship where he's the only male, and having a bigger crew. Some of the few differences are the type of Devil Fruit Luffy consumes, in Supernova he eats the Enten Enten no Mi while in Logia Brothers, he eats the Goro Goro no Mi. Miss Valentine doesn't join the polycule in the former while she does in the latter and Robin joins in during the aftermath of the Alabasta arc, while she has yet to join in the latter, though she is slated to.
- Outdated by Canon: As the author lampshades, the name given to Miss Valentine, Valerie, would later contradict what the Vivre Card Visual Dictionary gives. The writer has stated that for consistency sake, they're going with what they chose.
- Word of God:
- Primordial Vortex has confirmed that Nami will be the "fourth monster" of the Straw Hat crew, something first glimpsed in chapter 4 when she easily defeated Gin before beating Krieg.
- In the author note for Chapter 11, the author admitted to having completely forgotten Carue even existed, stating he somehow wrote 48 thousand words and only mentioned him once. This would end up causing Primordial to have to separate Vivi and Carue following the conclusion of the Alabasta Arc.
