• These episodes premiered on the same day and time as a new Gumball episode and the series finale of Gravity Falls. Surprisingly, all of the three shows did so well in ratings, even Gravity Falls, which aired on the not often-available Disney XD channel.
• Creator Cameo: Kyle McCulloch (the story editor of season 9B) voices a businessman in "SpongeBob LongPants", who convinces SpongeBob to get long pants.
• Recycled Script: The plot of "SpongeBob LongPants" is similar to the Season 6 episode "To SquarePants or Not to SquarePants" in that they both revolve around SpongeBob losing his square pants and replacing them with another pair that alter his identity in some way (round pants for the former, long pants for the latter).
• What Could Have Been: In "Larry's Gym", Larry the Lobster was supposed to say that the only thing worse than donuts is ground glass and then smash a glass cup in a fish's mouth, but Nickelodeon refused to let them do this gag because of the violence, and it instead got changed to Larry smacking the donuts away and saying "Doh-nut bring those in here!"
