• Author's Saving Throw: "Mr. Garrison's Fancy New Vagina" had been accused of transphobia in the years since its initial airing, due to its seeming implication that transwomen aren't "real" women because they can't get pregnant or give birth. While Trey Parker and Matt Stone have said that was never their intention, it's made clearer here by having Mr. Garrison make that argument at the end of this episode, and the other characters treat it as the Insane Troll Logic that it is. The episode also assuages the implied transphobia in Garrison's decision to get a sex change because she didn't want to be a homosexual man by revealing that she was taking a lot of painkillers when she made the decision and therefore wasn't thinking straight.
