• Star-Derailing Role: This was supposed to be Kevin Hart's big break into mainstream acting and early buzz gave him a push as the next big comedy star. Unfortunately, the film underperformed at the box office (due to being leaked online) and this stalled Hart's movie career. He then focused on being a touring comic and rebuilt his heat to become a movie star a decade later.
• Took the Bad Film Seriously: While everyone has trashed this movie, there has been some praise for John Witherspoon's performance as the blind man, considered a good use of his physical comedy skills.
