• Fake Nationality:
  • Most, if not all foreigners are played by Bulgarian actors. They tend to be Not Even Bothering with the Accent.
  • Special mention goes to the two "English" men that want to buy the ancient statue from Spas in 3x6. Andrey, who has worked abroad, immediately recognises their ambiguously foreign accents. Their disguise is blatantly transparent, what with their terrible English and their talking to each other in a language that Maria later not very confidently identifies as Albanian.
• Irony as She Is Cast: Vyara Toneva, a singer who appears in season 3, has a very low opinion of pop-folk singers. She is portrayed by pop-folk singer Desi Slava.
• Playing Their Own Twin: Hristo Garbov as Polar Opposite Twins Plamen and Konstantin Tsekovi. Both of his characters are shown side by side in the intro, but rarely appear together in the series itself, especially in earlier seasons.
• Production Posse: Nearly all the main cast consists of comedians from the popular skit comedy show The Comedians BG. Other Comedians, who were not cast as series regulars, also found their way onto the series in smaller roles.
• Starring a Star as a Star: Happens quite often. The name of the character will often be a play on the portrayer's name, such as singer Doni as Tony the singer, Orlin Goranov as star-writer Venelin Draganov, and Maria Ilieva as Maria Scala (a play on both her first and last name as the character is an opera singer).
