- Actor Allusion: The remastered version has an achievement called "Charted" for getting Jason up to level 20. This is referencing Jason's voice actor being Nolan North, who most famously provides the voice for Nathan Drake of the Uncharted series.
- Follow the Leader: The developers have eagerly admitted that they based the gameplay off Metroidvania styles. The game as a whole is very similar to Super Metroid.
- Rereleased for Free: The Remastered version was released for free on PC for a limited time through the Epic Games Store.
