Trivia / Screen Rant Pitch Meetings

Go To

  • Approval of God:
  • Channel Hop: Moved from Screen Rant's channel to its own Pitch Meeting channel instead.
  • Corpsing: During the pitch meeting for Kong: Skull Island, when the Screenwriter pauses during the Overly Long Gag of "and then Kong makes a helicopter crash", laughter can be heard in the background.
  • Cowboy Be Bop At His Computer:
    • When pitching Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, the Screenwriter refers to Wenwu as the mastermind behind AIM in Iron Man 3, despite Wenwu monologuing about how Aldrich Killian appropriated the Ten Rings' name and iconography without his permission. The Producer also asks how Xialing learned to grab her opponents, if Wenwu wouldn't let her train with his men, even though the movie flashes back to Li training Xialing hands-on.
    • In Day Shift, the Screenwriter mentions that vampire fangs are valuable, and when asked why, he replies "because they're worth a lot of money." In the film, it's not that vampire fangs are valuable, but that they're the only part of a vampire that doesn't regenerate and they are handed over as proof that the vampire is (or will be) dead and are exchanged for payment.
    • In The Dark Knight Rises, the Screenwriter says that Catwoman blows up the blockade at the sewer and frees the cops. It was actually Batman and Blake who did this; Catwoman destroyed the blockade at the tunnel exiting the city. There's also a joke about the cops leaving the sewer clean-shaven when they apparently had no shaving supplies on-hand — an earlier scene confirms that they were given pallets of supplies during their imprisonment.
  • Creator Backlash: Since late 2022, creator Ryan George has been doing "revisited" videos on older Pitch Meetings, talking about his new opinions on how he did the videos back in the day, often criticizing certain aspects and jokes.
  • Keep Circulating the Tapes: The Pitch Meeting for Toy Story was removed from Screen Rant's channel and reuploaded into the Pitch Meeting channel. However, the version uploaded to said channel was later removed for unknown reasons. Now, the only way to watch that Pitch Meeting is through "The Ultimate Disney Pitch Meeting" compilation on Screen Rant, and through video reactions.
  • Throw It In!: Ryan had hiccups while shooting the Madame Web (2024) Pitch Meeting, and decided to keep one take in the final version.
Producer Guy: "Oh wow wow wow....*hiccup*.....wow.”
