Trivia / Saves the Day

Go To

  • Creator Backlash: The band hated the video they did for "Shoulder to the wheel".
  • Creator Breakdown: While not a result of the album itself, the band went through it after the release of In Reverie, due to Dreamworks breathing down their necks about it not being radio friendly. It got so bad that Chris Conley claims that he got a call from the label saying that they needed to start on the next record... only three days after it came out! Shortly after Dreamworks got bought out, resulting in the band getting dropped and eventually returning to Vagrant Records, who they stuck with for several years after.
  • Development Hell: Daybreak was delayed for nearly two years. Originally set for a late 2009 release, the album didn't see release until September 2011.
  • So My Kids Can Watch: The reason for the three part concept album was so Chris Conley wouldn't be an angry dad.
