• Acting for Two: Elsie Lovelock voices Meggy as per usual and also sings Saiko's song.
• Recycled Script: This episode is very similar in its overall premise to 2017's "MARIO'S CHALLENGE". While there are some key differences – challenges in the 2017 episode were thought up by Luke & Kevin whereas this episode's are fan-submitted, it's not a single continuous run, etc. – they share (1) Mario hijacking the show for an episode to throw virtually every character into a gauntlet of deadly challenges, (2) at least one character being overly cavalier and suffering for it, (3) a final battle against Mario himself for (4) a mysterious prize that turns out to be something dumb, and finally (5) a significant change for the main characters – "Mario's Challenge" introduced Shroomy and cemented Meggy as a major cast member while this episode updates Saiko's design and has Kaizo undergo a Heel–Face Turn.
