* RecycledScript: This episode is very similar in its overall plot to 2017's "The Mario Challenge". While there are some key differences – challenges in the 2017 episode were thought up in-house while this episode's are fan-submitted, it's not a single continuous run, etc. – they share a climax of Mario being the final boss (and way more AxCrazy than usual), at least one character trying to cheat and failing miserably, and a significant change in the main cast – "The Mario Challenge" introduced Shroomy and cemented Meggy as a major cast member; this episode updates Saiko's design and has Kaizo undergo a HeelFaceTurn.
