• Artist Disillusionment: Kinda. Ralph himself originally played this trope as a joke to make people think he was done reviewing, however after the Justice League review, he admitted he still has a passion for reviewing films. However he is limiting his reviews to focus on his more important projects.
• Colbert Bump: Famously gave one to So Bad, It's Good indie movie Love on a Leash, encouraging his fans to add ten-star reviews on its IMDB page. When he reviewed it, it had a 4.5 on IMDB. Now it has a 9.8.
• Cowboy BeBop at His Computer: During his review of Pop Quiz Hotshot, Ralph incorrectly states that Doug Walker retired The Nostalgia Critic specifically to make the online game show, acting as if it was Doug's big passion project. Doug actually ended the Nostalgia Critic to make Demo Reel and revived the character when his new show failed to find success. Doug and his team created Pop Quiz Hotshot a few years after Demo Reel and only because Mike Michaud, the CEO of Channel Awesome, randomly demanded that they create a game show for the website, with Doug producing new Nostalgia Critic reviews while also hosting the game show. Ralph must have thought the Nostalgia Critic came back in 2015 because that was when the Channel Awesome videos were uploaded on YouTube (they were on the Channel Awesome website until that point).
  • In the same video, Ralph accuses Doug himself of doing this, such as when Doug claimed The Prestige was not a Christopher Nolan movie.
