• The Danza:
  • Akira Kamiya, who voices Akira Hibiki.
  • His father, Ichiro Hibiki, is voiced by Ichiro Murakoshi.
• Follow the Leader: The series was born when Banjiro Uemura, founder of Tohokushinsha Film, noted the success of Toei's Mazinger Z and wanted to replicate it. It can be noted in the series' plot and aesthetic.
• Marth Debuted in "Smash Bros.": One of the strangest examples of the trope in the history of the medium. Needless to say, it's pretty clear that the guys at Marvel Comics never actually watched this show.
• The Other Darrin: Makoto Kousaka voices Mari in episodes 1-30 ^note  and is her most well known voice and often does her voice when demonstrating her roles on her social media accounts and has reprised Mari whenever Raideen shows up in Super Robot Wars starting with Alpha; however from episode 31 until the end of the show, Mari was voiced by Kiyoko Shibata.
  • Rei Asuka was voiced Kotoe Tachi ^note  who coincidentally was the 3rd and final voice actress for Sayaka Yumi in the above-mentioned Mazinger Z in the show, however in Super Robot Wars, she's voiced by Akemi Okamura.
  • General Agyaru was voiced by Taro Sagami II in the series, but is voiced by Michihiro Ikemizu in Super Robot Wars DD since Sagami had passed away in 1981.
• What Could Have Been: Rei Asuka was written as Princess Lemuria's older sister, hence her psychic powers and ability to speak to Raideen. Her young appearance was a result of being in cryo-sleep for so long. This was abandoned and she became an ordinary human with unexplained supernatural abilities
