• Money, Dear Boy: According to Veronica Taylor and Eric Stuart, the big reason that the 4Kids actors were replaced was to keep production costs low.
• The Other Darrin: As stated on the main page, the special was used as a testing ground for the new actors. This would go double for Ash, who started out voiced by Kayzie Rogers, (under the alias of Jamie Peacock), only to be replaced by Sarah Natochenny, in the Battle Frontier seasons onward, (Natochenny even redubbed Ash's lines in this special when it was released on DVD as part of a bundle with Pokémon: Lucario and the Mystery of Mew.
• The Other Marty: Kayzie Rogers, (under the alias of Jamie Peacock), voiced Ash for the original TV dub of this special. However, her work was redone by Sarah Natochenny for the second dub of the special, which appeared on the DVD release.
