- Accidentally-Correct Writing: Alesia the human-turned-Eevee is somewhat cowardly. In the games, Eevee as a partner has the Run Away ability, much to the annoyance of players everywhere (similar to how Riolu reacts).
- Colbert Bump: Received one in the form of this Tumblr post by Ambyssin, author of Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Guiding Light.
- Development Gag: The flower that Gene Wilder takes a bite out of in Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory was made out of wax, which he spat out as soon as the camera stopped rolling. The flower that Wigglytuff takes a bite out of is made of wax in-universe and for display only, which he realizes too late, so he is seen spitting it out.
- Recursive Adaptation: A Chapter that is Very Legitimate counts as one of Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory.
- Trolling Creator: The mere existence of A Chapter that is Very Legitimate is the result of this, judging by Castaway's ":D" at the end in the author's notes.
- What Could Have Been: Riolu was originally to be a Charmander. This was changed because one was already a member of Team Go-Getters.
