• Sleeper Hit: A plainly low-budget film in a language that's faced tons of discrimination even in its native Philippines' media industry^note For instance, in as recent as the 2010s, the country's biggest music network MYX refused to play Bisaya songs because "most Filipinos would not understand them," while quite hypocritically allowing airtime for plenty of K-Pop songs., yet it earned a respectable ₱2,000,000+ box office gross and even more so in terms of critical acclaim and cultural significance.
