Trivia: Pat Benatar
  • Breakaway Pop Hit: "Invincible", from the movie The Legend of Billie Jean.
  • Complaining about Shows You Don't Watch : When "Hell is for Children" was released, the Moral Guardians complained that the song was Satanic.
  • Creator Couple: Benatar is married to her long-time lead guitarist Neil Giraldo.
  • Dawson Casting: She played a teenage runaway in the "Love Is a Battlefield" video when she was 30 years old, and in that song she repeatedly sings about how "we are young".
  • Executive Meddling: Her label tried to force her to continue recording when she told them (at the peak of her popularity) that she was taking time off to have a baby.
    • An ad the record company used promoting Crimes Of Passion released without her knowledge used the album cover as a backdrop—with her tank top airbrushed to make her look like she was topless underneath. This infuriated Pat, and she and Neil took more control of her career and image from that point.
  • Old Shame: She is not fond of "Invincible", stating at concerts "And now, a song from the worst movie ever made!"
  • "You Better Run" was the second video ever shown on MTV, after, of course, The Buggles' sadly prophetic "Video Killed the Radio Star."
