Trivia / Paper Puppets

  • Acting for Two: Taken up to eleven where all of the characters were voiced by the same guy, YellowAngiru, up until the second episode of season 2.
  • Descended Creator: As said before, YellowAngiru used to voice every character in the show. He still voices the most characters, with a whopping 14(including Mr. Hand, who is conspicuously absent from the credits).
  • Official Fan-Submitted Content: Like most object shows at the time, season 1 had a debut. The winners were Gong and Shuriken.
    • Take 2 had a fan contest where the winner would have their character in the show. AnimationFever won the contest, with their character in question being none other than Treasure Chest.
  • Newbie Boom: The popularity of the show received a surge in popularity following the release of "Platinum Puppets". These fans consisted mostly of Inanimate Insanity fans, due to the second seasons of both shows having a gradual shift in tone and changing the voting method accordingly.
  • The Other Darrin: As mentioned above, several of the characters YellowAngiru previously voiced are replace by other voice actors. But then it gets complicated with those voice actors being replaced by other voice actors and so on in later episodes that it's hard to list all of the changes in detail on the show.
  • What Could Have Been:
  • There was originally a prototype of the second season. It was drastically different from the final season:
    • It was going to be live-action just like the previous season.
    • Gold Ingot's assistants were Traffic Cone and Cushion instead of Santa Hat and Loaf (the former is a contestant in this season)
    • The Computer was sentient and provided explanations for the challenges and results.
    • The newbies roster consisted of: Ace, Amber, Bubble Wrap, Caramel Cube, Fast Food Bag, Headband, Journal, Knight Helmet, Log, Rotten Flesh, Ruler, Santa Hat, Shamrock, Sundae and Tanzanite.
    • Ace, Glass Shard, and Sundae were going to be the team captains.
    • The challenge to determine Team Captains took place in a labyrinth.
    • Knight Helmet was notably more antagonistic than he is in the final version. He even gets himself a spot on Chainsaw's group by insulting Post-It Note.
    • On the official Discord Server, Yellow said that there was an alternate scenario in mind for "Living on the Edge" in case Treasure Chest had been eliminated, leaving Ukulele the last standing member of Team 47: The merge and challenge would still happen, but Journal would still have been absent. He would end up being disqualified due to everyone else making it across the cliff. There wouldn't be another elimination after the challenge as a result, and Caramel Cube would have just gotten out the next episode. Ultimately, Journal would have been absent(and therefore eliminated) regardless of the outcome.
  • Real-Time Timeskip: The events of the first season in-universe took as long as it did in real time(1 year, roughly 7 months). This seems to have been Averted in season 2 due to it's longer run-time.
  • Word of Gay: It has been confirmed on a post by YellowAngiru that Ace is asexual, Bronze is bisexual, Gamebot Berry is nonbinary(using he/they pronouns), and Pan is pansexual.
