• What Could Have Been:
  • Among Pokémon that were considered (and rejected) for Louise and Saito’s teams, the author considered giving the latter a Clauncher before deciding the Water-type overlap with Ronin would make it redundant. Word of God says that the fight with a wild Clauncher in the Beach Episode was a Development Gag to this idea.
  • After Henrietta is established as the Sixth Ranger in Season 2 Episode 2, the author's notes afterward state that several other Halkegenian characters were considered for the position:
    • Professor Colbert, while friendly with Louise, was rejected because he would've had little reason to stay with her during the journey, and instead probably would've just studied with Professor Sycamore.
    • The rest of the Valliere family was also considered, as Mew wouldn't be thoughtless enough to only bring over one of them, leading to an arc of them reconciling with Louise. However, adding the whole family, as well as any Pokémon they might catch, would run into the problem of character bloat, which ultimately made this choice impractical.
    • Kirche could have been another rival for Louise in Kalos, as well as spurring her own Character Development and becoming genuine friends with Louise. On the other hand, she could very easily feel redundant as another character doing the League circuit, and it would be difficult to justify her being a credible rival when Louise has already been training for several months.
    • Siesta, while not yet close with Louise, could stand out as the group's traveling nurse, and would have her own unique arc of connecting with her family's ancestral homeworld. Ultimately, however, it was decided that Henrietta had much more potential for Character Development than Siesta, and while they both could have come, that too ran the risk of character bloat with Siesta’s own character arc.
  • A set of informational posts detail alternate timelines where Louise was teleported to a different region, how it would impact her experiences, Saito's own unique circumstances, and their starting lineups. The Kanto and Alola timelines even received apocryphal "What If?" mini-stories.
