• Approval of God: Ranboo had shown approval of the transfeminine o!Ranboo headcannon, occasionally liking fanart on social media.
• Ascended Fanon:
  • In Season 2, it was widely speculated among fans that Ranboo's character was a prince from the End dimension that had traveled to the Origins server, explaining why he acted so spoiled and entitled. This apparently was seen and picked up by the content creator, as Scott mentioned on Twitter that Ranboo's character had indeed been a prince.
  • A popular headcanon among fans was that Wilbur, being canonically Phil's son, used to be a bird person as well, before dying and coming back as a ghost. In Season 3, this was canonized, with Wilbur lamenting the fact that he can no longer fly, and Scott explaining to Sparklez that Wilbur was a bird, but isn't anymore.
• Referenced by...: A few times on the Afterlife SMP, mainly due to overlap in creators (Scott and Shelby) and premises.
  • At the start of the series, Scott's jokes about Lauren being a chicken in her first life (which the rest of the server embraced) probably stem from the fact that he's Genre Savvy of the Origins Mod due to this server. Beyond the creator overlap, according to her 3rd episode, one of Lauren's chicken children is named Tommy.
  • At the tail end of the series, Shelby's first reaction to respawning as a Phantom in her ninth life is that it felt familiar.
• Trolling Creator: Ranboo. During a Season 2 stream, his character finds a Book and Quill labeled "Do Not Read" in a stronghold library. Naturally, the fanbase freaked out over this, as some believed that it proved the Origins server was in some way connected to the Dream SMP. Ranboo admitted months later that he put the book there on purpose just to mess with people, and that the book was entirely empty.
• Word of Gay: Shelby has confirmed that all characters she has played are asexual (like she is in real life), which extends to o!Shelby being canonically ace as well.
• You Might Remember Me from...: Many members of Origin SMP were from other popular SMP roleplaying servers.
  • There is a fairly larger overlap in the server-members coming from SMPLive^note Techno, Philza, Tommy, Wilbur, CaptainSparklez, Tubbo, SMPEarth^note Schlatt, Sneegsnag, Techno, Wilbur, and Dream SMP^note Aimsey, Tubbo, Ranboo, Nihachu, Techno, Philza, Fundy, Wilbur, Tommy, Slimecicle.
  • Scott in particular comes from a few different popular SMP servers, most notably Life SMP, Afterlife SMP, and Empires SMP. Shelby is also present in the latter two, while OwengeJuice (who makes a Voice-Only Cameo in one of Scott's Nightmare Sequences) is a guest on Empires Season 2; the three of them, along with Bek and Tubbo, are all part of the Rats SMP and the Pirates SMP.
