- All-Star Cast: All the adaptations.
- The 1985 movie starred Donald Sutherland as Calgary, with Faye Dunaway and Christopher Plummer as Rachel and Leo Argyle.
- The Marple version had Jane Seymour as Rachel, as well as Juliet Stevenson, Richard Armitage, Stephanie Leonidas, Gugu Mbatha Raw, and Burn Gorman.
- Finally, the 2017 version stars Bill Nighy, Anna Chancellor, Matthew Goode and Ed Westwick (though the latter was replaced).
- Disabled Character, Disabled Actor: Averted as Matthew Goode, who plays Phillip, is able-bodied playing a paraplegic character.
- Troubled Production: The 2017 mini-series was in post-production, and intended as one of the keystones of the BBC's Christmas schedules that year, when in early November Ed Westwick was accused of rape and the decision was made to drop the series from the Christmas schedules. In early 2018 the decision was made to replace Ed Westwick with Christian Cooke, and approximately three-quarters of an hour worth of scenes had to be re-shot in twelve days so it could be broadcast at Easter. (Alice Eve couldn't make it at all, and had to be screen-shotted in.)
