• Billing Displacement: In the end credits, Thunderbolt's voice actor, Barry Botswick, was listed first; the voice actor for The Hero Patch, Bobby Lockwood, was credited fourth.
• Dub Name Change: In the Finnish dub, Thunderbolt's name became Salama ('lightning'), Lil' Lightning's name became Pikku Jopi and Patch's name became Kikero.
• Fake Brit: Everyone but Patch, Pongo and Roger's voice actors.
• Sequel Gap: Released 42 years after 101 Dalmatians.
• The Other Darrin: Everyone, since many voice actors from the original passed away by the time the sequel entered production, and those who didn't aged out of their roles.
• What Could Have Been: According to a test audience member, the scene where Thunderbolt got hit in the head was animated on-screen. It was changed to a shadow view for being too violent.
