- Children Voicing Children: Both Patches and Whizzer are voiced by prepubescent boys, with Whizzer's voice, Ryan O'Donohue, having done work for Disney at the concurrent time as both Simba and Randall.
- Defictionalization: The game is actually the one that Roger is shown to make at the climax of the 1996 live-action 101 Dalmatians. This is supported not just by the minecart chase, but also adverts for the game, the included manual, and the Help file outright stating that it's the one that Roger makes.
- Irony as She Is Cast: Michael Bell, a noted vegan, voicing Jasper, a serial dog-napper and, in this game, animal skinner alongside Horace.
- Missing Trailer Scene: In the trailers included on the VHS for the source film, Patches is shown on the dining room table. In the final build of the game, Patches and Whizzer cannot get up onto the table.
- Role Reprise: Not from the film, but from the Disney's Animated Storybook adaptation. Michael Gough, Mary Kay Bergman, Susanne Blakeslee, Michael Bell, and Tony Pope all reprise their roles as Roger, Anita, Cruella, Japser, and Horace.
- Same Character, But Different: The Disney Wiki considers Patches to be a different character from his film counterpart, Patch, due to the fact that his ears are white rather than black.
