This isn't the first time Helluva Boss and the SCP Foundation crossed paths as Brock Baker, the voice of Stolas in the pilot, was also the voice of Ragneer and Dr. Fish (SCP-527) in Confinement.

- Accidentally-Correct Writing:
- Back when Chapter 9 came out, the author had no way of knowing how Verosika and her crew travel to Earth, so he had to do some artistic licensing and leave it very broad as to the reason. Yet after the release of the episode "The Circus" it was shown in a book page that succubi and incubi are given artifacts known as "Asmodeus Crystals" which allow them safe and legal travel between Earth & Hell, and since it doesn't say how these crystals work outside of Earth and Hell it gave the author the excuse of that they don't work in alternate dimensions, in this case SCP-3008-1.
- More like "Accidentally Correct Drawing", the official art of Justin shows that he looks an awful lot like Adam from Hazbin Hotel, with the differences being skin tone, and hair & eye color, despite the fact the art of Justin came out way before Adam's true face was shown.
- Inspiration for the Work: The author got the idea for OHBD at his work while on BREAK watching the Helluva Boss episode "Spring BROKEN" and then he thought "Hey, I'm watching Spring BROKEN in the BREAKROOM while on BREAK which reminds me of When Day BREAKS..." and the rest was history.
- Outdated by Canon: Numerous new developments in both Helluva Boss and Hazbin Hotel have rendered some plot elements in OHBD incompatible with canon, such as Lilith still being around instead of missing for seven years, there being no mention of the Exterminations being accelerated, and Heaven at large being aware of the Exterminations. Word of God from The Silent Assassin on OHBD's Discord is that they will roll with most of the discrepancies, with the exception of those involving Lilith.
- What Could Have Been: The Pop-Cultural Osmosis Failure Stolas and Octavia experience regarding zombies would have only extended to Stolas, Octavia would have realized exactly what SCP-008 was. However, after thinking it over, the writer concluded that Stella wouldn't want her daughter to consume media produced by demons lower than her so, unfortunately, this amusing exchange had to be cut.Octavia: So this thing makes zombies?
Stolas: It makes what?
Octavia: You know, undead?
Stolas: Octavia, I've told you it’s rude to call Sinners such derogatory slang.
Octavia: No Dad, I mean...uh...like necromancy. Bringing dead things back to life?
Stolas: Oh wait, I think I remember Blitzy telling me something about this. A movie his daughter had seen or something...I admit I wasn't really listening at the time, I was a little...tied up-

- Amongst other things, future story arcs are for planned for SCP-1678 (UnLondon), Alagadda, Dr. Wondertainment, the Mehkanites, and Sarkicism.
- There are some Sinner Demons that would recognize the logo on Justin's uniform, and won't be happy to see it or him.
- As they lack holy weaponry, most SCPs can't permanently kill demons ranked Sinner or above. As demonstrated by Angel Dust's trauma after encountering 087 and Stolas' body succumbing to 008 however, this does not mean that SCPs can't inflict lasting damage on them.
- Stolas's unique Lotus-Eater Machine situation as a 008 instance is because his innate magic is trying to fight the disease. This isn't a good thing, as the two forces warring inside his body is beginning to mutate him into something best described as a Resident Evil boss.
- The Royal Family's surname is still Magne, like Hazbin's pilot. Morningstar will still be used in some capacity, though.
- Blitzo was right in stating that Justin has a nice ass.
- A secret message on an announcement in the Discord server on 2/27/23 reads "it's almost here. the king's chains are broken. he is free. do not trust the council", what this means for the story is up to the readers and fans.
- Justin will get more rear ends of demon women he'll get to meet personally on his face as the story progresses.
