• Meme Acknowledgment: The global community staff are aware of the famous "Cyrus when" comments, and have often referenced it on social media, especially after Cyrus came out as a unit in the global version.
• No Dub for You: The global version maintains the original Japanese voice cast over having the game voiced in English, despite the first (and second game) having an English voice cast.
• Role Reprise: All of the voiced characters from the first Octopath Traveler return with the same voice actors. Same goes for the collaboration units, which use the voice actors from their original games.
• Uncredited Role: The global version of the game doesn't list the voice actors playing any of the characters for some reason, meaning finding out who voices whom requires taking the information from the Japanese version of the game.
