Awesome Music / Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent

Go To

As in its predecessor, Yasunori Nishiki delivers some amazing new tracks for Champions of the Continent.

  • Each of the major antagonists is given a Leitmotif that fits them perfectly.
    • Tytos's theme, "Tytos, the Hero", is very fitting for the insane knight, with the soprano delivering a haunting chant that befits a hero who has fallen to the temptations of power. It becomes even more epic with his boss theme, "Master of Power", which approaches the level of "The One They Call The Witch" and "Daughter Of The Dark God", and tells you that he is NOT going to go down easily.
    • Herminia's theme, "Herminia, the Covetous Witch", fits the avaricious woman to a tee, with the soprano delivering another chilling operatic performance. This also extends to her battle theme, "Master of Wealth", in which you'll likely be in a fight for your life at such an early point in the game.
    • Auguste's theme, "Auguste, the Playwright", is a perfect match for the sociopathic villain, sounding like it came straight out of a fantastic opera. This also goes for his battle theme, "Master of Fame", ideal for the final act in Auguste's twisted life.
    • Pardis III's theme, "Pardis III, Ruler of All", is an oppressive yet regal theme that conveys the vile king's ambitious nature and utter cruelty. The same goes for his theme during the second round of his three-part boss fight, "Master Of All", with Ominous Latin Chanting serving to enhance the battle with the wicked despot.
  • The theme when facing the Arena champions, "Decisive Battle II –Champions of the Tourney–", is a rock remix of "Decisive Battle II" from the first game that befits the tough arena bosses.
