• Awesome, Dear Boy: Tiera Skovbye took the role to avoid Typecasting and to try a genre that she has not normally acted in. Contrary to popular belief, she was not in it entirely for Money, Dear Boy reasons.
• California Doubling: The show is set in Toronto but a significant number of scenes are filmed in nearby Hamilton, Ontario. Most notably scenes of the atrium and exterior of St. Mary's Hospital are filmed at McMaster University's Michael G. DeGroote School of Medicine and the school's real address, 100 Main Street West, can be seen on the hospital doors. (While there is a Main Street in Toronto too, it is located in the city's suburban east end well away from downtown)
