- Actor Allusion: A clever ironic joke where Lucy does a fake Scottish accent and Pete remarks how awful it is. Lucy is played by a Scottish actress (doing an English accent) while Pete is played by an English actor (doing a Scottish accent).
- Billing Displacement: Paris Hilton is on the front cover and gets top billing so this film must be about her right? Wrong, she's gone after 30 minutes.
- Fake Nationality: Scottish Vivienne Harvey as English Lucy while English David Nicolle plays Scottish Pete. Averted with Paris Hilton who is simply an American who presumably grew up in a British school. Or else is British but her accent has changed from spending so much time in America.
